If you truly don't than that's pretty unfortunate. There's a significant difference that's not debatable.

If you take money per skill/attributes, then nope. Dak was horrible a few weeks ago. I don't hate Dak but I don't blindly love the guy either. Dak is good enough to steer the bus but he's not going to flat out take the team on his back and win games. I had way more faith in the previous QB bringing us back to win in the 4th Q than Dak. In no way am I saying that Cooper is all that either but he just might be a better fit for the offense since the play callers have never really taken advantage of Dak's ability to move. They never really did that with Romo either. You constantly heard both of those guys talking about being pocket passers and they really weren't that. Cooper may be that...who knows?

Dak is not worth $40M but the Joneses hate grooming QBs. The Patriots drafted 10 QBs during Tom Brady's tenure including Jimmy Garappolo, Matt Cassel, Ryan Mallet, and Jacoby Brissett.

Again I ask Why isn't he because a few people on a message board say so ? 40 is the rate for qb's in todays game. Why is it that Dak get the he ain't worth it ? Answer that for me dude. Dak is 9th in rankings those are numbers, Those are facts. He's 9th in pay and more qb contracts coming in are going to push him further down the list. You see it's the disingenuous claims that get me ypissed. It isn't about the money he's paid Although if it were it would be BS because it ain't your money. You mentioned that the Pats drafted 10 since Brady was drafted. DAKS BETTER THAN ALL OF EM. Point is this is Capitalism ( For Now at least) a man is worth what he can negotiate. It goes for Tom Brady it goes for Aaron Rogers it goes for Matt Cassell. It's the great equalizer

What was arguably the biggest play in the game was really a late throw across the middle that Noah reached back and snatched out of the air.. Then the TD was high and outside and Brown had to climb the ladder a bit to go get it. Yet people have been downright giddy about how Rush "hit receivers in stride" and all that thinly veiled shots at Dak noise. If Dak makes that same throw to Brown all we would have heard was how if he woulda led him he would have had a chance to run after the catch. In reality throwing it behind was absolute the right ball placement because if he leads him Noah probably gets blown up by the safety and maybe even gets the ball dislodged and Cincy has the ball at our 40 yard line. It's probably a very different ballgame then.

The point of this is that you people talkin bout how well Rush threw the ball must have been getting a beer on the 5-6 near INTs he tossed. And why do I mention near INTs? Because people were beside themselves when Dak had a similar total of near misses in a game last season. And if I'm not mistaken we won that game too. This is not to disparage the game Rush had.. He had a nice game as a backup. He managed the game and didn't LOSE it. And made 5-6 throws when he absolutely had to in order to win it. I call that "Eli Manninging." I hope he does it 4-5 more times..

While those Cooper passes were a little off they were still catchable obviously. When Dak is off, which is often, his passes are so off they end up being uncatchable - like so high or so far behind there is no way to make the catch. Even a lot of his completed passes are rarely in stride so the receiver has to slow down, turn to adjust, bend down, etc... I completely agree that a few of Cooper’s passes looked like they would be intercepted. He needs to clean that up or else. Though for a guy who had the second start of his career against a good defense he was pretty good and a little lucky.

In no way have I or am I "blindly loving" Prescott, that's just gas lighting. There is no statistical measurement with regard to on the field that factors salary and skill set to use supporting a realistic point. Rush isn't simply a "better fit." Suggesting that a QB puts the team on their shoulders is a myth. We lost vs Tampa because the offense sucked. We beat Cinn as a team.

however, the play by play color guys stated ie ROMO that that throw was better then the route IE he was running himself into the coverages and rush threw it to make brown stop his route to stay in the hole..who knows definitely was way behind and credit to Brown the much whipping boy in the zone for snatching that back shoulder throw LOL

Yah, talk about making it easy. How bout we tell the whole truth: most of Dak’s stats came against the putrid teams in the nfc East. And did you watch Dak in the Tampa Bay game ? You’re a stat guy, right ? His qbr in that game was 15.3 - about as awesome as your half-truth stat.

where did I tell less than the truth ? 68.8 thats Dak's comp % . Not cherry picked to fit an agenda. That's what the number say or truth. Most of Daks stats came against the putrid NFC East. Now that's A flat out lie. First of all look it up the nfce

Was not as PUTRID as people say Two Playoff teams came out of the East and the NFCNorth was clearly worse and The South Flat sucked. Secondly Dallas plays NFC East for 6 games they played 11 non nfc east teams again 68.8 is his WHOLE comp %. Look man you're a little emotional right now I get it , But facts are facts. As far as the Tampa Bay Game , Dak Sucked, it happens I have never said anything to the contrary.
Fact : it was stated that most of the time Dak is in accurate. That is clearly wrong. You can't hide a scrub Behind 68.8 completion rate.

Like I said Numbers are stubborn things

I only read the first handful of posts on page one but I hoped someone can clarify exactly what Romo said about a particular Rush throw. I do recall one play he was enthusiastic in describing, which he was correct in emphasizing.

This goes for any quarterback and any receiver. Just forget about names on the back of the jerseys for a sec.

If the defensive coverage is set where a pass must be thrown high to top underneath coverage but not sail over the receiver's ability to stop/jump/contort/layout/whatever in order to catch the ball, YES, the receiver has done his job exceptionally well and so has the quarterback. All passes are not picture perfect. The quarterback is not required to throw picture perfect passes. Real football is not Madden. The quarterback must throw catchable balls. Does not matter if the receiver twists his body into a pretzel catching a pass that only he should catch if he does his job.

Quarterbacks do not hand passes off 15 yards down field.

Just curious which pass-and-catch Romo was analyzing because ball placement is always critical, especially in tight coverage. It is highly likely Romo was correct in his assessment if Cooper fitted the ball where the receiver had an opportunity to catch it. Does not matter if the receiver looks like he was playing Twister hauling in the pass. (Younger members may not know what that last reference means). Allow receivers to make catches worthy of professional football. That is what they are paid to do.

/rant
What you're describing sounds like the play in which Brown (I think) had two defenders spread out about 7-10 yards in front of him, and one defender about 10 yards behind him. Rush threw the ball over the two, to where Brown (again...I think) had to jump and reach (comfortably) upward to make the catch. I remember thinking that was a perfectly thrown ball.

Oh yes you did. You cited Dak’s 68% to make your point about how awesome he is. The whole truth would have been to give the stat and also disclose it included 6 games we won against doormats. And yes you certainly can get inflated stats against sub standard competition, as he did. And how can you even argue; Dak exposed himself again in the Tampa Bay game. And he misses reads and throws every game, it’s just a matter of degree. You should go find some stats that prove how awesome Jerry is as a GM and try to spin that…lol. Man, how you can even try as the whole world saw the TB game but here you are…

He beat Herbert and mac jones in NE and LA..do we forget those? we ddi lose a lot of close games to better edams down the stretch so dont remember it being "Just Dak" did dak give up 30 to Denver or 4 straight scores to 9ers to start the game or 14 penalties? add no run game, cant remember the score in denver but it wasnt like we lost 13-0 , more like 30 something, dak doesn't play defense, same with the raider game 14 penalties defense wasn't ON thats for sure I mean how many times did Dak ties the game to lose the lead and lose IN OT mostly because of defense and the refs??.,.. did dak consistently have 10-14 penalties that torpedoed droves? missed XPs and FGs, dropped passes, given up chunks of run. missing blocks..its always a Cowboys win or dak loss..the haters like to point that out..

Burrows sux because HES 0-2 or his OL and other things are the reason for being 0-2?? Here its dak , elsewhere on :espn: and the ZOPNERS Its not Rogers its his OL and WRs game 1.

No I m saying Dak deserves the money because, he's worked hard and HE NEGOTIATED IN GOOD FAITH. Come on ! Address what I said instead of setting up Strawman arguments.

At no time did I say Dak deserves money because ever other QB makes it. Why would you assume I did. You're just like the drive by media Rush used to talk about. You drop your snarky comments and move on.

Now Dak can use that as a negotiating tool if he wanted to. Hell yeah if every other QB makes 40 million and Dak thinks he s played better than any of them, He has earned it. Are you seriously this ..............Look I'm not trying to insult

Your intelligence But seriously did you just ask me that? I think you tried to score points by implying that I don't think Dak should earn his money. On the contrary I KNOW Dak Has earned his money . But yes market forces are at play here

If you do the same job, with better results, you definitely should negotiate for better compensation. Like I said in another post Capitalist are Capitalist until some one they hate benefits then it s Mob rule

Really?

So stopping and having to adjust back so much that you fall down is "barely adjusted?"

Brown sees the ball and has to gear down..

What I'd like to point out here is that the safety is 10 yards over the top so if Rush leads him Brown probably runs for another 20 yards.. Maybe even scores if he can shake the safety.

Instead the ball is behind and basically the contorting of the body is what makes the tackle.. Look where the safety is where Brown goes down..

It was a completed pass.. but it was not a great throw..

Cooper threw it exactly where it had to be. He threw it between two defenders. Its an easy catch. Do you think its a bad pass when QBs throw back shoulder? Good QBs read the defense and throw to a spot....Its called throwing a receiver open. Dak has yet to learn this skill.
