The blatant ones were pretty indefensible. I have to progressive glasses and I didn't even need them to see several false starts that were missed. lol
You’re probably right. And maybe they were just letting them play . I don’t mean to defend . They were blatantly awful calls . And hopefully the league will reprimand them .

For many decades now we have been benefited on TV by many more angles , slow motion, instant replay , etc. than these officials have in live action. I’m amazed how often they actually get it right at full speed.

He can't be telling the truth? Because it is the truth, isn't it?
The officials mistakes directly impacted the Giants point total.

The officials mistakes directly impacted the Cowboys points total.

The difference was that it took points off of the board for the Cowboys and put points on the board for the Giants.

You can continue to pretend there is no bias whatsoever all you want. It doesnt change reality.

I agree that the officiating is bad across the league, but I watch a lot of football and there is a bizarre way that NFL officials call Cowboys games.

I recall seeing a stat a few years ago (maybe 2020) that opposing teams playing the Cowboys are the least called for holding in the league. I watched the Giants disrupt WR routes by grabbing and outright tackling our DL over and over again last night, right in front of the officials. I think it was called once on Feliciano. It's maddening.

The unsportmans like conduct on Donovan Wilson was the 2nd ridiculous one to me, that seems like an official trying to stick his chest out and being a badd boy.
Wilson was just trying to get the ball back to the refs ...

So the officials can't just suck randomly and it happens to lead to points for one or take some from others?

As for conspiracy, until the Cowboys or any team can make the claim the Saints can, they need to sit down with their whiny rants that have no consistent basis.

2018 - 30th in penalties called against opponents
2019 - 31st in penalties called against opponents
2020 - 32nd in penalties called against opponents
2021 - 31st (tied for last) in penalties called against opponents

This is what you dont understand for some odd reason.

I dont care about the AMOUNT of penalties. I care about WHEN they are called.

At best it's mass incompetence, and worst it's completely rigged.

I don't care which one, but something needs to change. The two uncalled penalties on Brown were so blatant it wasn't even funny. Same time, the penalty on Shepard was a bit sketchy. He wasn't seeking out contact on that one, it just happened. Nobody would design a pick play to be 15-20 yards downfield.

I’d recommend reviewing penalties or stop showing all of the instant replays for us to second guess.

I dont care about the AMOUNT of penalties. I care about WHEN they are called.

Which is the convenient fallback when people point out numbers. But when "we were the most penalized team in the league last season" then all of a sudden it becomes about the numbers. If we're least penalized, then it'll be, "yeah but it's the ones they don't call that are important." Y'all 'spiracy folk like to have it all ways because it's a need of some sort. So the brain doesn't see logic because it's not allowed to see logic. The victim stories depend on that blindness.

Now you see why I complain so much about them crooked officials. How else can anyone explain this ...

Or this ...

There were no flags thrown on either blatant and obvious pass interference/holding plays. Very obvious the crooked officials were out to help the Giants as much as possible. One of many badly officiated games against the Cowboys over the years.

What say you?

Poor officiating, to be sure, but they also made wrong calls that cost the Giants, and missed calls against us. Inept? Yes. Crooked? I don't think so.

Believe me, I had my doubts in the first part of the game, but after some of the calls they made in our favor, I decided they just suck at their jobs.

The ref was also making strange, annoyed facial expressions all night when announcing calls, especially against NY
I can't decide whether he was wishing he was somewhere else, or if he was thinking, "I can't believe they're telling me to call this penalty." :muttley:

I’ve got another one.

Big 3rd down, we get a stop, and they call Jourdan Lewis for just about the most ticky-tack illegal contact you’ll ever see.

But Noah Brown’s allowed to basically get tackled. Twice. Totally legit.

This seems possible. The NFL will at least give it a shot and then probably back down once the backlash starts coming in.

There are just far too many errors league-wide. I'm not sure there's a single fanbase that likes the referees because all teams have suffered at least a few crappy calls over the years.

That was a play I didn't care for because it looked like the WR initiated more than Lewis. You can't just let a WR run into the DB and then flag the DB.

Seemed like a whole game full of makeup calls, really.
