My takeaway is that you need elite QB play on the biggest stage. Dakota will never sniff that kind of play.
find me an elite QB, there is about 3, maybe 4 of them at best.

so I guess the other 28 teams should just pack it in. lest we forget eagles won it with Foles

Beyond the game The League really needs to be tied to the whipping post over the playing surface.

I don't know who was responsible for picking or preparing a playing surface for the biggest game of the year but it was a total failure that playing surface sucked.

It was only out done by the halftime show which sucked a little more.

Can we be brutally honest? Hurts was why Philly lost. The self inflicted fumble was awful. Reid and Mahomes then do what they do AFTER THAT.
I remember some morons here claiming Dak played great and elite the same game he threw two picks and one of them a pick 6.

"but they weren't his fault' was the dry of the Dak doofuses.

One big mistake can lose a game; you cannot have that happen with the regularity that Dak had this last season.

Hurts did play great for almost the entire game; no one can deny that. On the biggest stage there is and under the most pressure he produced.,

But he also made the big mistake as well. That drive to tie things up was huge; cannot take that away from him. Anyone thinking he is not a top quality QB is a true idiot.

BUT he is a running QB and how long will he last? Though as long as he is like this he is going to be a nightmare for defensive coordinators.

As regards the KC coaching, what more needs to be said. Andy Reid shut everyone up once and for all in this game about whether he deserves to be in the HOF. He had the record and everything else before this game; now he has an example of GREAT COACHING when it mattered the most to go along with it.

They found the same flaws the 49ers were going to use to expose the eagles defense.
Kudos to AR he's a brilliant tactician

Such a good example of what wins in the NFL today. On the one hand you have the perfect QB Mahomes. Incredible arm talent combined with a willingness to tuck it and run if the throw isn;t there. Simply back breaking for the defense. Comparisons would include Burrow and Allen. Old Russell Wilson. On the other hand you have the one look rushing threat on a rookie contract. Very tough to handle for NFL defenses. A plan that can carry you a long way. The QB is easier to find than the previous option but has a shorter shelf life. Comparisons include RG3, Lamar, Colin K, even Dak. I would support either approach from our front office.

The NFL should be embarrassed for hosting the biggest game in professional sports on a field in that condition.
Was there an explanation of why it was so bad? Warner was touting it as great pregame.

Dak got injured early in the season and had no weapons or good coaching around him in 2022. The team overachieved, yet still ended up with back-to-back 12 - 5 seasons, finally won an away playoff game in 30 years and advanced further in the playoffs this year with much less than last year.

But you go ahead and keep complaining.

My guess is the sod did not have enough time to fully root itself into the base layer. All the paint on the field field made the surface slippery, but the sod was obviously lifting in divot chunks all over the place. The half time show didn't help.

My big takeaway?

Since there was an extended halftime, Reid used that to modify his offense to what the Eagles were doing and actually make effective adjustments.

Siriani used that time to perform underarm farts for his players.

They said it was the same surface that the Cardinals played on all year which is false, it was golf course grass that they tried for the first time.

Coaching on offense matters. Anyone who watched what the Cheifs did tonight can see the night and day difference between that and whatever Kellen tries to do. You don't need a complicated offense just one that you run well and gets players open. You don't need elite weapons. Hopefully Big Mike took some notes tonight.
LOL..

Dak-Stan’s last night were yapping about Reid’s play-calling in the red-zone, bashing MOORe, completely clueless that Cowboys were actually FIRST in red-zone scoring percentage. The Chiefs were 2nd and the Eagles third. Moore as usual had dudes wide-open in the red-zone multiple times this season.

Dak pretty much choked against the 49ers with a 33.33% success rate.

Dak was complete garbage the majority of his career in the red-zone and Moore actually did his job, decreasing the rate of embarrassment Dak was bringing to QB play. Dak is the one failing this team year in and year out. Well, he can’t really fail if he was never that good in the first place.

How many excuses you going to make for the scrub at QB we have?

The Chiefs also have Mahomes. You don't need elite weapons when you have a generational QB. Brady proved that years go.

And in light of that - how exactly then does it make sense to pay say a Hurts or a Dak or a Cousins based on what guys like Mahomes and Rodgers got paid? These are not the same caliber of player or talent. It's like saying that because the price of Iberico ham is so high we are going to price Boars Head ham at the same price.
