Okay buddy. You run your own NFL football team and actually have silver trophys in your closet. That;s GREAT ...I mean really great...that you know so much and have PROVEN it.

Teams are NOT signing FA's in a "fire at will' way just yet. They will see how their draft pans out. They will re-evaluate. They will watch TC injuries and chokers.

Zeke will be on a team. Wanna bet accounts? :lmao:
Does this mean you don't have a date when the league lull is over?

Ezekiel Elliott is still available because every team in the league knows he's a shell of his former self and aren't offering anything remotely close to what he's asking for.

He has two choices. Humble yourself and sign for the spare part you are or retire.

I agree. I could totally see zeke taking a year off. I think he should take a backup role just to be on a team and those benefits that come with that.

I still think he can play. I watched his 2022 highlights...and EXACTLY like 2021...he played quite well early. Got injured...twice on the same leg...missed a couple games but still played a lot of snaps injured. Zeke-hating darling Saquan does not play one down of any of that.

It's all good though. I dont worry about looking so cool as to be so cocksure of zeke demise. And if I am wrong...okay...fine. Wrong. But I am a positive sort of guy because I don;t need to tear down others to self-validate or join some Kool Kids Klub.
I hated seeing him playing on one leg the last 2/3 of 2021 and then with the knee brace the back half or 2022. Just not the same guy that he was pre-injury. I firmly believe had he sat 5-6 games in 2021 the injury in 2022 doesn't happen because the knee would not have been so "tender" from the 12 week beating it took in 2021. I thought his playing was a mistake then and I feel no different about it now. I applaud his giving up his body for the team.. but there's clearly not a lot of appreciation around here for that.. and that bothers me. We want these guys to be warriors.. then when they are we crucify them for not being able to reach 200 mph missing 2 of 8 cylinders. It's weird. Really weird.

Ok. I’m just gonna jump in here.

Our board is an insanely silly got nothing to talk about echo chamber if we have 13 pages of “where is Zeke going” comments.

Not mad at you guys, but please. Is this really something that is going to be front page forever?

These same guys crucified him for "taking himself out of games". Then he plays hurt and they still make fun.

People....millions of years of evolution, perhaps thousands of years of divine inspiration...and THIS...is what we have?

No sir...there is no specific hard date on the calendar. It's not a scheduled event.

lull

[ luhl ]SHOW IPA

a temporary calm, quiet, or stillness:

See?
Do you think the league would penalize a team for not honoring this annual lull period? Zeke may be worth it.

Dude was a god among men. Then he held out, got his money, got fat and lazy and his production fell off a cliff. It all unfolded right in front of you and was as plain as day to see. Anyone remember what he looked like when his best bud got hurt? I sure do. When we needed him the most he turned into a pouty fumble machine. I will give hium credit for the times that he was great but I will not make excuses for him after he packed it in and fell off a cliff.

Dem are facts. The Devaluing of the RB position has been brutal.
Zeke made close to $70M. He got paid for his production. The Game has been more than fair to Zeke.

I think Zeke will be humbled by the Market conditions. I think a team will pick up Zeke in-season after week one due to injuries and/or so as to not fully guarantee the contract.

At least you are using the correct verb here. None of these idiots on here nor any of the "expert" talking heads you see on TV knows a damn thing.. yet they all spew as if they do. The fact of the matter is a guy with probably 50-60 million dollars in the bank aint sweatin it either way. That much I DO know. Zeke loves the game.. so if push comes to shove he will play for vet minimum somewhere .. But if he stays healthy he will only have to do that for one year.. and he will get a better paying gig in '24. But health is not guaranteed.. So we will wait and see.

I doubt Zeke plays for a scrub team.

He has $$$.

I think if the choice comes down to sitting out an entire season or playing for some crap team I believe he plays. Guys who truly love the game have to be carried away from it on their shield so to speak. I believe Zeke is that sort of player. The only way he doesn't play is if his body starts to tell him "You need to go sit down hoss..." Whether that be the knee locking up on him in games or him just being too sore to get out of bed after a couple of practices.. the net effect is the same.. Even when the mind is willing the body always wins out.

He won’t play for a scrub team.

He has $$$.

Wants a ring…..
A good team wont want him unless he comes very cheap or plays at a high level. We know its not the latter. So if he wants a contender he better come cheap. A scrub team may pay more but as you said he already got his $ so maybe he will go cheap.

It has to be pretty embarrassing for him that he comes out of high school highly recruited, has a high caliber college career, then now he is basically going to be cheap or go to a scrub team due to the low amount of interest. At least he made his first few years worthwhile and is still somewhat in the cowboy history books for now.

Zeke or tattoo judgement? Both topics suck but people won't stop talking about them.
