Zack Martin does not report to camp

50k a day fine lol. Good luck staying out for long.

The team will probably pay him but regardless he’s going to be back at some point. As a vet too he probably doesn’t mind the extra time off.

Zack Martin was given an NFL record highest paid Guard ever contract extension back in 2018. With 2 years still left in that contract, Zack Martin is trying to pull a stunt for another record paid new contract extension at 33 years of age. If he misses all of training camp, I would be looking to trade him and send him and the rest of the team a message that such actions will not be tolerated.

Move Tyler Smith to Zack Martin's starting position at Right Guard. Send the message to Zack Martin that he can be replaced with superior and much younger quality. Plug in Matt Farniok at Left Guard. Chuma Edoga, Asim Richards and TJ Bass are the backups. Problem solved.

He will be the highest paid guard here soon. Pay the man for performance. Right now he is 8th, grossly underpaid.
Silly- when he signed his contract he was the highest paid. Do you really expect players contracts to adjust every year so they continue to be the highest paid? I'm sure they will get him a bit more so he's happy but this whole nonsense that he is grossly underpaid is simply that.

I have a feeling both Zack and the Cowboys aren't too worried about it at this point. Veteran player gets to miss part of camp....not a big deal and helps keep an aging player you're depending on healthy.

I would bet a lot of money that around the start of the preseason Zack is back with a raise which gives him nearly a month to get ready for the opener still. This also gives some of these younger guys you're hoping can step up more reps early on in camp for the coaching staff to evaluate what they have.

It probably ends up being a win/win for all parties.
