There’s “lawful” and “unlawful” carrying of both guns and weed. In Texas, possession of marijuana is still (foolishly IMO) illegal. Having a gun in TX is legal but there are stipulations.

I have a couple of friends that are cops in the Dallas area, and they say they don‘t care about getting people with weed possession unless their behavior is so noticeable and reckless, they need to pull them over and find out what’s going on. Like driving at excessive speeds, driving erratically, etc. Obviously, none of us know the whole story.
Looks like theyll get to find out how the new scotus ruling works.

https://www.reuters.com/legal/drug-...9 (Reuters) - A,year that expanded gun rights.

"Aug 9 (Reuters) - A federal appeals court on Wednesday ruled that a decades-old law prohibiting users of illegal drugs from owning firearms was unconstitutional as applied to the case of a marijuana user, the latest fallout from a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last year that expanded gun rights."

when you say "It's Texas"

that it means a lot of different things depending on your viewpoint
I think you need to relax a bit. Stop being so literal and sensitive. Life is better that way.

Nothing wrong with carrying a gun in Texas. Nothing wrong with weed. Not saying Sam was right or wrong.

Thats why I'm laughing at the idiots of the world that call that "character issues". This man didn't commit any crimes or hurt anyone.

It's sad that he has to reside in Texas for many reasons which I'll leave alone at this time.

Did he show bad judgment?? Yes he did. But is this considered a character issue??? Nah. You have athletes who don't smoke weed or carry guns and make tons of bad judgments and mistakes.

Hopefully he'll learn from this and make better judgments moving forward.

At least he wasn't like those thug criminals like Giants former kicker Josh Brown who beat the **** out of his wife on a regular basis, or like that greedy low life thief named Brett Favre who stole from poor and less fortunate people for his own gain. Now THOSE are character issues!!

Idiot.

It's amazing to me that these guys, once they get a NFL paycheck, act like they can get away with anything and do dumb ****.

At least once an offseason we have a bonehead.
I mean, is it really that dumb?

Weed is Legal. Having a gun is legal. Have both together is not.

He missed that last part apparently.

Stupid is bringing a gun thru airport security (Switzer).
