Why yall acting like we don't have two LBs on the roster better than Clark and Bell. Micah is a LB who can pass rush. We brought in Evans who is a thumper against the run. They need to let make the adjustment.
Evans sucks in coverage.

This is why I never understood the Vander Esch hate.

No, he's not the kind of guy that gave you splash plays. But he was the kind of guy that helped the defense not give up 8 yards per carry.
He and Lee have been our only LB's the last few years who would run up and down a line, into the backfield just to make a play. It cost them their careers, but they deserve more than they got/have been given

I knew the crazy way we started with like what 3 linebackers on the roster at the start of the season. I was like ain't no way we are counting on LVE staying healthy for 17+ games.
Dan Quinn failed us.
A few of us noticed and questioned Dan Quinn when the 53 man roster was set prior to Week 1, and the Quinn rump kissers berated us.

Where are they at so they can apologize today for being so wrong?

Jerry Jones needs to fly in Rolando McClain (Purple Drank) and see what kind of shape he is in since he recently was reinstated to the NFL.

Buffalo started the game with an almost 7 minute drive for a TD. Then on their first possession in the 2nd half an 8+ minute FG. 2 drives alone killed over 15 minutes.

Even if you have an explosive offense and respond quickly and score. Your defense is going to be exhausted.

Can not give the other team an extra 10 minutes and expect to win the game. We were on Defense for 35+ minutes.

and yet that should have only been 3 pts but we gave them 11 there. While I don't argue that we have to be a good bit better against the run, Quinn has set this defense up to play against 80% of NFL schemes that don't have an effective run game. Even when you do have an effective run game you are very fortunate to score a good amount of points.

We gifted Buffalo 18 points in that game. 4 by the penalty on 3rd near the goal line and then 7 with the roughing the punter. We then gifted them 7 by not challenging the fumble.

Explosive or even good passing game offense covers that. Buffalo scores maybe a few more than 10 had we not gifted them! Would have kept the D off the field probably 8-9 minutes as well

Long drives make you tired and frustrated and that is when dumb penalties start to pile up.

The second drive was not long before the punt and Lawrence had no reason to hit Allen even though it was a flop.

Why post anything from this guy? He has proven to be a clown time and time again. LBs aren't the issue, its scheme and no good 1 tech DT.
Wouldn't it be better just to say thanks to Woodysgirl and the rest who post all the social media stuff? I don't have SM nor do I watch any of the guys like him.

But I appreciate all the good folks on here that have taken the time for many years to post Cowboys info.

And since you have the answer to all our problems, why don't you pick up the phone and let Jerry know? Seems like a guy with your kinda knowledge about the team should be listened to.

DQ could put Evans n Clark at ILB and run a 3-4 or keep the 4-2 and play with two ILBs, however, this is a choice by DQ so I disagree with the roster construction argument.

Well he has 3+ weeks to experiment and try to figure it out and make adjustments, because we already know that is not going to work against the Niners.

Nope.

The best way to stop an opponent from running the ball is scoring, and Dallas is severely lacking at playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.
The Bills took the opening kickoff and ran it right down the field to take the lead. Dallas was and would’ve continued to play catchup, matching scores at best. The game was over once the Bills went up 2 scores because the Bills ran with impunity. That game was very similar to the Rams Otis Anderson playoff game.

Dallas defense is constructed to stop passing teams and to play from ahead to unleash the pass rush. It’s that simple. Like the 49ers and Arizona games when the offense can’t maintain ball control the Cowboys get into trouble. The 90s Cowboys were constructed the same way. I will never forget the horrible Washington team that beat us 30-3 on opening night after Joe Gibbs retired.
