Dak Big Games

These are the ones they’re thinking about when voting.
  • Both Philly games (rival)
  • SF (rival)
  • Sea-Buf-Mia-Det (toughest schedule in NFL, end of season)
Record: 3-4

Going to be tough to get the votes. Especially since Lamar beat most of these teams.

Still think MVP should go to CeeDee.
Your are spot on with using data to back up your claim.. its not an award for stats.

I also agree CeeDee should have gotta consideration in the same discussion CMC was getting last month and Hill.

It's probably going to go to Lamar Jackson but if Prescott doesn't get any votes then I don't know what to say about the objectivity it all. Statistically, Prescott was just better in 2023. These numbers are not really close. But Prescott, due to the negative narrative that has followed him, is just NOT a sexy pick for MVP.
In fairness, you have to consider rushing stats. Those are big part of what puts Jackson in the running.

Lamar
Dak
Purdy
Allen

All 4 will get votes, and Dak deserves more than the 2 listed below him....deserves many more than the other 2. Allen is talk of the town today but low and behold if Dak played a game like Josh did last night there would be doubts all over the place about his turnover problems...the media just wants to ignore Allen's because he can turn into Superman and make everybody forget. Sadly, it's the truth, the guy clutch when needed

I honestly think it should be McCaffrey, Hill or CeeDee

Bc he’s the QB of the best team in the league and he does it all. His team was better than Daks. AND He did what Dak could not do…… make SF look like chumps on their home field. So he deserves the regular season glory this year.
Im pretty sure Lamar Jackson was sitting on the bench when Baltimore's defense was intercepting Brock Purdy 4 times and making SF look like chumps. MVP voters need some perspective when handing out individual awards. Teams shouldn't win MVP awards, individuals should.

You have to step away from the pompom. Just because people think Dak won’t and shouldn’t win it doesn’t mean anything more than that. He did not and consistently has not performed under the bright lights. If he beats some good teams next year, he’ll have a chance for the mvp.
Before I have to block you and put you on ignore I need to figure out what you think is consistent and that he can't perform under pressure and then the big time are you serious so show me those games you're trying to tell me when he gave the team the go ahead touchdown in Miami that that wasn't a big moment it's not his fault his defense choked also the Philadelphia game in Philadelphia he was the best player on the field and they lost again because of the defense and key moments and a little bit of the referees but he played well both those losses he played very well also the Philadelphia game in Dallas was for the division to take away the lead he won that game last night was for the division apparently for the number two seed you're not calling that a big game he excelled I mean oh he wins 12 games again he leads the league and touchdowns Annie also leads the league in less interceptions and fumbles basically the lowest of really all the starters touchdown interception ratio wise but he also doesn't have any real fumbles either...

So you're gonna go to the 49er Buffalo game and not point out the fact that the defense was absolutely horrid the offensive line was bad there was no run game you can't win big games without that those teams are hard to beat when you bring in 10 guys with the flu a bunch of injured players on the road in weather.. So I don't know what these games you're talking about but Prescott wasn't the reason we lost those games he had no support just like in the playoffs you're gonna blame,

Prescott in 2018 for the Rams game we get no run game and the defense gave up 278 yards on the ground he was supposed to win that game because what you expect all quarterbacks to be Superman??

How about the 2021 game against San Francisco we lost by 6 put 11 penalties on the offensive line no run game four penalties that hurt from the defensive side that's 14 total penalties you're supposed to overcome that as a quarterback alone literally nobody getting open and if they aren't there's no time to throw...

Same thing last year in 2022 playoffs who exactly was making plays it was Prescott and lamb trying to play backyard football because again no run game offensive line getting shoved back in the backfield he had two seconds to throw the football in most cases in the defense when they had the opportunity they didn't make those big championship plays they dropped an interception allowed kittles to catch that ball instead of making a hit those all are what we call team deficiencies they lost as a team...

In many's opinion you know most of us who actually know what to look for in football know that this is a team game and Prescott has never lost a big game where the rest of his team showed up and played well we're not even asking for played great just be efficient in the run game and have your offensive line at least stand up but they're getting beat by four men lines even this year go look at some of those losses you're blaming on the quarterback and Prescott running for his life and they're using a four man defense with zone on the back end with maximum coverage they get to put everybody in coverage and only use four men to rush the passer and stop the run...

I'm really sick and tired of common fans that know nothing about team sports apparently never played it don't watch it with the proper eye Prescott is not the reason we're losing these games you're gonna say he's not the reason we're winning but again you see what happens to Patrick mahomes whenever his receivers start doing what dax did last year or should I say not do and when you don't have a strong run game and when your defense aren't making key stops when it matters you lose games against better competition that's just how it is you need to have your team show up in all phases including coaching and game plans in order to win games against the better teams and these allegedly big games that you're talking about...

And I can tell you right now they have not... You get Prescott even average support you know just give them a solid run game not two yards per carry and a cloud of dust and an offensive line that can't even hold up for two seconds with only a four man rush.. That's been the problem with almost every big game that we've lost whether it was close or not literally Prescott on his own most of those games...

Lamar gets very little respect. Remember a prominent ex GM said Lamar needs to be a wide receiver. I heard before the season that Lamar cannot run a pro style offense and does not belong in the same stratosphere as Herbert, Allen, Burrow and Mahomes. Sound familiar? Lamar also has only one playoff win. I have two issues with Lamar winning MVP. 1. His stats and 2. The Ravens have the best team in the NFL. I get it. He whooped Purdy, CMC and the 49ers on Christmas night and then followed up with a 50 piece on Miami. Lamar will get the award because of those performances.

LAMAR beat them lol

5 ints vs SF says HE didn't beat them.

Last second FG loss to Miami on the road says Dak didn't lose to them.

NOW it is about team stats. I would be fine with this as a tie breaker if everything was similar....it isn't.

It doesn't have much to do with narrative. If Dak delivered against Buffalo he likely wins the MVP.
What about Jackson crapping the bed against Cleveland? You don’t consider his bad games, just Dak’s. Freakin haters.

Dak deserves the MVP more than anyone. He’s the main reason the Cowboys are 12-5 and heading to the playoffs.

Chances are Larmar will get MVP but does not change the fact that Dak has played to an MVP level. Dak is the most scrutinized player in the NFL, the man has been trashed and mocked yet has continued to work and improve.

Negative narrative? He laid waste to mostly cupcakes and padded his stats against the leagues worst. I mean , we had him in the game in the 4th quarter of a 35-10 game just to pad more stats. Go look at how he played against the best teams on our schedule SF, Buffalo, Miami…… the 2 divisional round playoff losses. Those are the games that forge the narrative and provide context.
Over 2 games lost to riding the pine in blow outs and this is the your argument? Lol.

HE made them look like chumps lol

250 yards and 2 tds. Yeah, good performance....but the 5 ints won that game. He didn't have to do much, certainly not enough to hand him an MVP with pedestrian stats.

And he’s still being trashed and mocked here.

He rises and falls with the success of his team just like every other QB. Purdy was the favorite for awhile …… until Lamar went to SF and destroyed them. How did Dak do in SF?
Lamar had 0 to do with his defense intercepting Purdy 4 times. 0.

His 2019 MVP was a true MVP performance. 36 passing tds, 112 rating, 1200 yards rushing and 7 more rush tds.

This season is not close to that and he didn't have a better year than Dak this year. Not even close.
