When you spend money like drunken sailors and box yourself in with Dak's contract this is what is left to spend.

Wake up. This has absolutely nothing to do with Dak’s contract. He hasn’t been near the top in cap hit in any year until now. They built in restructures that would lower his cap hit significantly without even having his permission. They don’t want to free up money yet because they don’t want to spend it.

I can assure you, Dak will be restructured or get a new contract with a low cap hit for at least the next two years, but every penny will be spent on Lamb and Parsons. Jerry could have easily gone all in on 2024, but then he would likely lose Lamb or Parsons a year from now. Our lack of activity has very little to do with Dak. It’s all about doing that when he is ready to hand Lamb and Parsons their deals this summer.
