Would you outright want to just get out of Dak's contract?

I think the Raiders rumor is real

If a QB they like is available at 11 theyll take him but if 4-5 QBs go earlier and they dont like what remains they will trade us 11 for Dak

Dak makes the Raiders “relevant “, they ain’t winning a SB anyway with Mahomes and Herbert right there
That is never going to happen. Cowboys fans need to move beyond the “trade Dak” scenario. No one is giving up significant draft capital for Dak with one more season left on his contract. He’s going to be a free agent. Why is that so difficult to accept?

There’s always hope. That’s all we have in this clown show of irrelevance in pro football for 30 years.
LV signed FA Gardner Minshew last month (2-year, $25 million, $15 million guaranteed) to compete with incumbent Aidan O'Connell -last season's starter as a rookie - for QB1.
New GM Tom Telesco and new HC Antonio Pierce haven't ruled out using their #13 pick to select a rookie QB - whether possibly packaging it with other picks to move up in the top 5, or trading down to pick up an extra 2nd rounder and choose a QB with it.
Or - standing pat and picking one of top two corners at 13.
Whatever they do --- Prescott will be no part of the Raiders' plans in 2024.

Not if there is an extension in place with Dak
Vegas is a good place to get paid with the convenient excuse of not winning being in the same division as Mahomes

Raiders signed Gardner Minshew a month ago for 2 years at $25 million, $15 million guaranteed.
He will compete with Aidan O'Connell (2323 starter) for QB1, and perhaps a rookie QB if they choose to pick one.
Raiders GM and HC are not going to do an about-face and trade for Prescott - especially with contract having to be worked for who knows wants -for it for it happen.
The new duo aren't going to start their tenure in Las Vegas doing that.
Dak makes them relevant and is better than any qb they get at 11
Minshew is a back up

Money and Vegas
Raiders are a great ‘brand’
At this point Dak knows he does not have what it takes to win a SB
LV recently signed a FA QB to compete with their incumbent starter entering his season - plus the new GM and new HC are considering using their 13th overall draft pick to select a QB (Michael Penix Jr is player that comes up most in Raiders circles.
And -- there's a possibility they might package the 13 with another pick and move up in the top 3 to get one of those QBs projectioned to go after Caleb Williams.

Whatever LV is planning to do - Prescott is not part of the equation.

And to your comment "Money and Vegas" ...#4 has gotten paid bigtime in Dallas...on and off the field...and looking to get more while remaining the Cowboys QB.

Minshew is going to compete with O'Connell - and the rookie QB if they select one - for QB1. It's the Raiders plan.
And I really don't think Prescott wants to leave the Cowboys--
hence the no-trade-clause.
If Jones & Jones don't extend him, he'll just play out his last contract year when the season starts - then hit free agency in 2025.

The fans that think playing QB is equivalent to playing singles in Tennis, one in one against the other QB, is beyond baffling.

It makes me think the NFL loves how ignorant and uneducated their target audience is.

Somehow this has become a multi billions $ business and fans are actually think they are watching a different sport, than the one that is actually on the field.
The entire game is played differently now, I'm fortunate to have been young enough to actually witness the real game being played for a while.
yup we move on to the next QB to blame, well not true we will get another HC in here soon enough to also blame. The problem isnt going anywhere thats for sure. If we draft one i cant help but feel bad for the kid when he is going through growing pains with the awsome leadership of CD and Micah blaming the loses on the rookie, after all he will be affecting thier "Bags of Money"....
Once this team finally decides to move on from Dak, and they are shaking in their boots about it, if they dont have an answer asap the Jones will be run out of town.
You heard it here first my friends...

Just one question: when he “hits FA” will he leave Dallas?

And, so, when do negotiations between the Raiders and Todd France begin? Allegiant Stadium is completely sold out every game. The tickets sell for substantially more than Cowboys tickets. Their concession prices are among the highest in the NFL. They obviously don’t need a draw. And where can it possibly be more convenient to not win than the Dallas Cowboys? The owner of the team has not had playoff success in almost three decades and has not changed GMs in all that time. When the owner of the team will tolerate losing it can’t be any more convenient to lose than that. The Raiders will not be trading for Dak Prescott or any other quarterback for the 2024 season. And no team would give up more than a fifth round pick for him, and that would only be to see what he’s about and perhaps get a head start on negotiating with him if indeed they want to sign him. And even that would require Dak’s expressed consent. It’s time to move on from the trade nonsense in deference to Dak Prescott.

I was saying, they just seen what and how Snyder got his big bag. Let everyone walk. No extensions. Free up cap space. Let the new Owner decide who the new Coach the QB will be. It would be an unemotional decision to trade CD or Micah if that is what they decide to do.

It makes more sense to me than any other damn thing the Jones are doing?

That would make some sense of we are All-In. This is their last year.

This is all contingent on Dallas not resigning him
Of course he would prefer to stay and get paid but the tea leaves tell us thats not happening

Yes - because another team offers Prescott a contract I doubt the Cowboys will match - so he will be wearing a different NFL uniform for the 2025 season.
If it is for a better team. Hell ya. Wouldn't you???

Your whole argument was that Raiders have Minshew and Prescott wont leave

Minshew is a back up and you yourself are saying he will leave

Make up your mind

His agent knows, and so do you, that Dak Prescott can get more compensation negotiating with NFL teams as a free agent as opposed to negotiating with a team that would have to trade assets for him and pay him. They have the NTC and no tag advantage. It’s only an advantage if they can use it to control Dak’s playing career. That’s Todd France’s job and he’s going to do it. If Jerry even hinted to France that Dak is not in the Cowboys future plans and they want to trade him he would seize upon that to get Dak cut immediately. The Cowboys know the cap implications doing that would cause and won’t do that. Jerry knows it, France knows it, and 31 other NFL ownership groups know it. Dak is the Cowboys starting quarterback for the 2024 season. I doubt the Cowboys will re-sign him and I doubt he prefers to stay. For now, Dak and the Cowboys are stuck with each other.

And why would a team give up multiple picks when they can get Dak next year for no picks.
