Any Head Coach Hire that would make you tune out for good?

Hello Fellow Sufferers. 30 years of futility is really making me apathetic with my Cowboy fandom. Last year's debacle of an offseason caused me to cancel a trip to see the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. I refused to give Jerry Jones one penny of my hard earned money. That would have been my first time seeing it and was really looking forward to it. I live in Eagles country and their dominance makes it even worse. I didnt even watch a Cowboys game last year until Thanksgiving because I was so disgusted with the direction of the team.
Which leads me to my question: Is there a Head Coach hire to replace Big Mike that would cause you to throw up your hands and say no more? At least until Jerry Jones is no longer calling the shots? For me, it's Kellen Moore, Brian Schottenheimer or Jason Witten. Any of those 3 as our head coach tells me it's gonna be more of the same moving forward. Jerry Jones does not wanna get better, he just wants to retain control and bring in someone that allows him to do so.
Any of those 3 become the next coach and that's it for me until Jones is gone. Anyone else this disgusted? Which hire would cause you to throw your hands up and walk away?

Not likely. Coaches are temporary. There are certainly guys who would give me more or less optimism than others, but I doubt I would just tune out. Coming into 2024 was about as low of a feeling as a fan as I can remember but I didn't tune out. Losses didn't effect my day nearly as much this year. I focused more on the rest of the league this year. I found joy in watching/evaluating guys on an individual level instead of team results this year. It was significantly different this season, but I was far from tuning out and doubt it would happen just because of a new HC.

Yea ......My favorite time of the year. New coaching hires to free agency to the draft......

Jerry is so predictable that if he was to rehire Mike McCarthy next week, it wouldnt change my pulse one bit

It used to be my favorite as well but I now know Jerry will screw the whole thing up so it's not fun anymore

My attention to this franchise is at the bare minimum. I refuse to invest in it until Jerry is gone and I see meaningful changes. There are better ways to spend a Sunday than watching this nonsense and getting mad about it.

There is not one person on the Cowboys coaching rumors search that is worse than the hiring of Jeff Saturday by the Colts so it won’t change my view.

Well this last year was honestly quite lethargic for me. Although I can watch any game all the time, I can’t say I sat down for a whole game and if you put all the time I spent watching football together I would be lucky to count 3 games worth.
there is a few coaches that would keep me all blah about Cowboys football, that would be Belichek, Kellen Moore, Witten, Shottenheimer, Anthony Lynn, kliffenburger (sp?), and a few others. We need a guy that can take the team by its horns, but no retread.
My guy right now that I would love to see, now that Ben Johnson is gone to the Bears, is Aaron Glenn

I would be very happy with Glenn

Notice Johnson never gave the Jets and/or Saints serious consideration? Pretty sure he didn't wanna hurt Glenn's chances for either job. In other words, he will be the next coach for the Jets or Saints. I'm hoping the Jets......McCarthy has a better shop at the Saints job.

< Tagline

Jerry Jones could finally stop living vicariously through his head coaches and become one himself. Even that ultimate nonsense would not do the trick.

I became a Dallas Cowboys fan fifty years ago and will die as one. Nothing Jones (or his DNA kids) can do will prevent me from following the franchise that I fell in love with long before he got his paws on it.

No because it really doesn't matter who the coach is until they change how the organization operates.

KM, Witt, Schotty, and anyone else not qualified. We can’t afford to go to a newbie coach after this train wreck. You just paid Dak a fortune so why would you not get a top HC? Patching together a staff would be an epic fail.
