My original post had a reply to a comment by you and this one. I edited it by removing your post, as it was included by mistake. User error by me, I'm sure!Must be a glitch in the matrix. I got a notification that you quoted my post, but apparently you quoted someone else's...Weird
Hubris. How can he not know that then?
No argument from me. My wife is the college grad that majored in this stuff. She's the bread winner, I'm just a toll collector. I hear about this stuff all the time. We have Chris Watts among other cases. I am perfectly aware of what you've outlined as a possibility. We can't know for sure. This should by no means serve as proof, but I would interject some people are empathic narcissists:
5 Signs You Are Dealing With an Empathic Narcissist (link)
Some narcissists (not those who have NPD) are not devoid of emotion and empathy. Their aptitude for either can be average or below in comparison to others, but their cognitive empathy can make both appear above average.
If applicable, Jerry Jones can show much or even great empathy and not have genuine feelings matching what he outwardly expresses. I will use Jones and Micah Parsons' relationship as an example.
On one hand, Jones has shown he is Parsons' biggest advocate among all human beings before Parsons instructed him to conduct any contract negotiations through his agent. He showered Parsons with praise constantly, both as a person and professional football player. It could be suggested Jones did so a tad more than the average owner or general manager. He has always enjoyed hyping whatever he is selling. Regardless, he has demonstrated both emotion and empathy for Parsons.
On the other hand, Jones (being Jones) has gone the extra mile propagandizing himself as the wounded victim in the public's eye in regard to the contract extension stalemate. It is an atypical reaction and effort in comparison to how the majority of owners and/or general managers have addressed similar impasses in their player/club contractual negotiations for the world to see.
Perhaps a truly empathic Jones would take both his personal grievance and Parsons' decision into consideration by not making the entire situation into an unnecessary public melodrama..? Understanding how Parsons' feels about getting the issue resolved neither dismisses Jones' disagreement nor supplies Parsons any leverage in the matter. A certain mindset will not see it that way though.
Just my two cents.
Duh.I just made this post!!! We're all complaining about a 1 tech, that's not what he wants, he wants us to get up the field!!!!
I just don't see how people can say this when they don't even know what price Mulugheta is demanding. It is just disgraceful how Jerry has handled this. There is a solid argument if they should trade Micah. Although, how he has handled this is an embarrasment to the Cowboys franchise.
I have to agree They had a deal It was given to his agent then something happened.Maybe because I am a Texan born and raised, but a man's word has to count for something, no? You shake another mans hand you have a deal... at least the parameters.
Perhaps the don't grow them that way in Philadelphia? Perhas Micah is letting his fame and wealth get to him? Maybe he never had true integroty to know the agent works FOR HIM?
Either way, IMHO, Micah holds the primary 'blame' in a dance with notoriously bad partners.
Go Cowboys!
Cowboys haven’t won jack in 30 years. How’s that for a fact for you. Telling me I don’t know anything because I simply posted my opinion with no sense of entitlement or malice just providing my insight is certainly a choice but hey to each its own. I may not know anything but clearly the “smartest people in the room” sitting at the star don’t either so they can be in the same boat with meThe ignorance you just revealed to the world shows why fans are so oblivious to the Cowboys' real situation. Why would they believe their roster isn't competitive when they had just made it to the playoffs as the one seed? Overreacting to one game (GB) is not a smart move, but that's what you seem to be advocating. When fans like you think you know better than the people in charge, you confirm how ignorant you are of the actual situation. You don't know what you don't know, yet you act as if you know it all. Your aggressive comments, made without all the facts, are not helpful. All you are doing is satisfying your own need to hear yourself talk. The message is utter ignorance, but you are so narcissistic that you think it sounds good. The saddest thing is you're not alone. There are many ignorant fans out there. You support each other's ignorance and convince yourselves that you are right when nothing could be further from the truth.
I mean there were numerous issues…coaching was poor, injuries, lack of offseason….i never said they would win 12 games this year lol….lol if you want to blame injuries by all means go ahead. The roster last year stunk.
You’re also very very very optimistic if you think this team is going 12-5 this year.
But again this is kind of my point.
3rd youngest team in 2022. Here we are in 2025 with the 3rd youngest team again and have they gotten any better? Has it lead to anything.
I don’t think this roster now is any better than 2022.
Our scheduled sucked too. 7-10 was the result. It still sucked.
Do they even know? Jerry hasn't talked to him. I mean everyone knows the devil is in the details with NFL contracts. The totals reported are never real.I just don't see how people can say this when they don't even know what price Mulugheta is demanding.
I can't believe Dallas released Zion Childress, we will be lucky if we get him back, he is a good young player.I thought he would be the starter at nickel.i wouldn't have released zion childress.
hopefully we get him back.
I usually don't. Something about his demeanor or something. Can't put my finger on it.I truly enjoy Skywalker Steele's tapes! The young man does a good job breaking down film. He is right. Perrion Winfrey definitely earned his way on to the 53 man roster. Can't wait to see him this 2025 season!
You forgot... "Your thoughts?"!Will he lay on the trainer's table?
Will he walk slowly on the practice field while looking at his cellphone?
Will he stare off into space?
All these questions AND MORE on COOG'S COWBOYSZONE!
We love our guysI don't care either way. Prepare to play with the players that are there.
