Prescott had a very shaky 4th QTR

I get a kick out of people that ridicule the "eye test"....they still watch football.

Should just read the stats instead?
I can't believe this is 2025 and people actually think 'eye test' is a legit thing that only they uniquely possess.

Never said it was all Dak's fault, Mr. Strawman.

But elite quarterbacks win games like that. Average guys do not.

Stats are for fans who have no idea what they're watching.

Elite performance is about what you do when it matters most in the biggest moments on the grandest stage.
People need to get over Dak already. He was shaky years 1-4 mechanically but he has fixed those issues. QBs get overpaid and let's just say we all agree he is a B+/A- he is still better than Dilfer, Flacco, Eli, Johnson, Doug Williams, McMahon, Rypien, Hostetler who all managed to win a super bowl.

We literally have the worst defense in the league giving up over 30 a game. We scored 40 and tied that game. Mahomes is 3-3 right now. People complain about Jerry, but then somehow also buy into his strategy because we seem to have endless complaints about one of the few guys delivering on his contract.

If someone wants to complain about someone getting elite money and not delivering there should be endless threads on Diggs. How many times this year has he been completely lost in coverage? At least that would be on the side of the ball that can't get it together.

He's had a great season so far, but I cannot deny that he didn't handle the 4th quarter very well.
Doesn't matter what your eyes saw people aren't here are telling you people who are saying that it's his fault for calling two screens and a dump down when he's under pressure has no run game are we going to talk about the fact that the offensive line did not look good in the run or the pass blocking.. He didn't have a lot of time but the OC called those two screens that's his job as to follow the two screen call he's supposed to do that that was him and it'd be funny because if one of those broke loose you know Williams usually is good for breaking tackles and didn't break any and somehow made a first down one of those we wouldn't be talking about this.

That's got called the play that was called into him that's it that's how it works You're gonna blame him for guys not getting open not blocking no run game and the play calling that's what you saw don't say he didn't handle the 4th quarter very well no his offensive coordinator did not handle the 4th quarter very well but the defense didn't handle four quarters very well you know why this sounds really dumb because that is how it should be looked at four corners of really bad football almost every week Talk about a couple of plays at the end of the game that he's supposed to make on his own even though he didn't call the play he didn't get tackled behind the line of scrimmage you all are insane..

. Excuse my ignorance but that means you want Prescott to score on every driver he's not considered elite that's it he literally has to no matter what score because we have no defense he didn't even have a run game or an offensive line today he basically was playing by himself with George Pickens we've seen this show before one hot receiver one hot quarterback and nothing else came to the game..lmao

Yeah, those guys are dumb too.

But look at who is following you in your goof troop. Not like you’ve got an NFL think tank under contract. Most of them are either still romancing Romo l or have a deep seated personal bias against Dak.

I was in favor of not extending Dak and advocated for a rebuild. What a pipe dream that was. But that ship sailed

Considering Jerry is the worst GM in the league when it comes to free agency, Dak’s contract really means nothing and without a legit concern about his contract, then he is what he is. A serviceable NFL quarterback.

More importantly, he’s never going anywhere so it’s a moot point to talk about him being gone.

In the meantime, when he plays well, I’ll support him. When he plays badly, I’ll call that out too.
Exactly. But if you don't blame every lose on him, you won't get an invitation to join the football stupid bunch.

I want to ensure I understand the argument. Dak needs a very good to great run game and a good defense to win? He’s not expected to take advantage of game winning opportunities and he also should make $60 million a year? If you want a great running game (which he’s had most of this year) and a good defense you can’t pay the QB more than anyone in the league. When you do that he’s expected to carry the team. He doesn’t and they have a losing record. Like I’ve said over and over any serious person isn’t saying Dak is bad. It’s that Dak isn’t consistent and doesn’t have the tools to be great. At 30-40 million a year (in today’s market) that’s fine. At 60 million he better be great essentially every game. He beats up on the Jets (which Tua did too) and craps with the game on the line against the Panthers. He is what he’s always been. Opportunistic against bad defenses and crazy inconsistent against good ones. It’s year 10, if you are hoping for different after 10 years in as Bill Parcells would say, “you’ve been sucked.”
Yea , you still don't understand.

Who thinks they "uniquely posses the eye test"?

Everyone who watches the game...uses the eye test. Only a handful of people bash it...while still doing it. Usually over a stat argument.

Just read next day's stat line instead.

Again, the game was winnable in the last minutes even if the defense sucked.

That's what a $60 million QB is supposed to give you. If he takes up that much salary, then he needs to be just enough of a difference.
Talk about ridiculous. How was the game winnable in the last minutes when Dallas never got the ball back since the 6 minute mark???

The eye test is inherently subjective since you are literally using your own eyes and no one elses. This means your eye test is inherently yours and yours alone. It's only through communal bashing exercises in public forums that fans align what their 'eye test' really showed.

In other words, it's ********.

The OP clearly isn't blaming Dak for the loss just saying the offense didn't do much in the 4th Qtr. I don't see how anyone could say otherwise. Both offenses had been moving up & down the field quite easily and then ours just stalled.

Throw whatever reasons you want out there but Dak can't be completely blameless can he?
Yes he is.

It’s not ridiculous. Dak led the offense to 3-out and -12 yards prior to that with the score tied 27-27 and the horrible defense gave him the ball back.

So why watch The Cowboys on TV?

Just read the stats instead. It will tell you everything you need to know.

Mean no run game a shaky offensive line and some suspect play calling that our quarterback are calling those checkdowns those were two screens those literally were the calls by the head coach slash OC..
Yes and missing his wr1.

Yes and missing his wr1.
We don't need to remember he's missing both Turpin and Lamb but that's not a big deal because they were still moving the ball who knows we saw CD Lamb in the first game lose the game he dropped a bunch of passes him in Ferguson and George one of those interceptions are on George Pickens that's not a thing we need to discuss we know the offense is playing well to blame him is stupid that's it that's all we're saying..

Say he had a shaky 4th quarter and we should have scored more in the second half is being short sighted and not using context literally at no run game the offensive line was shaky yes that would cause a shaky offense.lol.

OK. Because my eye test is inherently different from your eye test, which means it's completely unreliable and biased and subjective, I should quit watching sports. Got it. Great point.

Not my point at all. You keep making different points claiming they're mine. The aren't.

I never said my eye test was different than yours...never siad it was better or worse. But there you go...arguing a point I never said.

Saying it yet ANOTHER time isn't gonna help any, I'd say.

This is stupid. Just like the 'eye test'.

Continue to ignore the last 6 minutes of the game. It is ridiculous and false to act like Dallas had the ball at the end of the game.

Im not blaming the qb.

Hes the main reason weve been competitive at all.

At the same time I can acknowledge without a run game hes not going to look the same. Just like he won't be as good without his top wr or linemen.

That doesn't make it his fault at all. In fact what hes done given the crap circumstances makes it all the more impressive imo.
