Now go and look at the possible destinations and teams probably interested in Hendrickson:

- how many teams need an Edge
- how many teams need an Edge and are way closer to competing for rings
- teams with available CAP in 2026 (and 2027, being the second year when salary increases)
- If you're mentioning $100m available, be sure to do the same 'restructuring' for the other 31 teams
- how many of these teams need to spread their CAP spread to cover: RT, 2 CB's, 2 Safeties, a LB, RB...... and they're just the Starters.

Without looking i'll guess the Rams as a better fit for Hendrickson based on the above.

What is your point? I have clearly stated he could get more than the $25M value listed on Spotrac, hell, even $30M. But I don't see $40M, especially after the injury issues this season. Either way, let's move on........enough time on this, for me.

Only way Raiders will move on from Crosby is by them accepting less compensation for him. They won't get a 1st. Not now. He's 28 or so, having knee surgery, and has a huge cap number. Only way all parties involved can strike a amicable deal is if they take less for him and each team agrees to eat some money and the player will need to rework the deal. Raiders created a problem with this contract.
 
If we can tag pickens and he is willing to play on the tag, you go get crosby and find the right dc.

Agreed. Gotta go get a proven established db. We cannot roll out there in 2026 with our current safeties either. Dono maybe. He's a box safety. Stop asking him to cover!!! Hooker has been terrible. Can't tackle, can't cover, doesn't get turnovers. He's trash.

It's not one or the other, it could be absolutely neither.



This team needs to be smarter than appeasing fans you guys sometimes just don't really see this in the big picture with rebuilding our defense and having more money and trade assets to get better and really better especially on defense overnight you can't have either...


You trade George Pickens, it saves you $30-34 million, that in itself gives you enough money to go get a free agent pass rusher, Use the first round pick to turn into multiple picks ,so we don't have a 2nd and 3rd round pick, now we do now you get A WR2, and you get a lot of things you need in the draft and then you add a guy like Hendrickson, whose not going to take draft capital to bring him here, and he costs a little bit less...


Not getting Crosby or Pickens saves over $60+ million alone, and saves a draft pick, you would use on Crosby,, maybe two draft picks that you can use in the draft or to package and get a safety, a corner ,a left tackle, I mean, just name a position that we don't need ,that you can use those resources on and our offense is not going to miss George Pickens that much...

I don't understand why you all get wrapped up in these names like there has to be these two guys ,it does not have to be ,you can have a much better offseason by not going after a guy like Max Crosby, and trading your only asset that can save you 30 million or more plus get you a first round pick,

a real GM would consider that all day, every day, and go with a different plan this offseason.


This defense is more than just Matt Eberfluous,

yes it gets fixed instantly by changing coordinators, we got too many older players at safety, players that can't play at linebacker, corners who are leaving, may need a left tackle, we still have to sign Aubrey, you have to possibly keep J will at running back,

there are too many things on this team that need to be done in one offseason, and I don't believe either one of these have to be done to be successful next year...

these are dreams that fans are having.

Its OK to be delusional,

but at some point someone needs to throw some cold water in some of y'all's faces and realize that the media and other fans are gaslighting you thinking this has to be done, we have to keep George Pickens at all costs, and I'm looking at this record we have right now and I'm looking at games where we had problems scoring in the second half with both of those guys on the field..

I'd say that they can go a different direction and still be successful this year.

I would actually sign off on it and be happy if Jerry and the front office realized this their only true asset is a 1st round pick that you get and trade George Pickens, save over 30-34 million, and you use that in free agency on your defense or for your left tackle or for your running back.


It Gives them so many more draft picks, You can also get your young studs on defense there as well, If you do these two moves or even one or the other it is going to be costly to getting this fixed in one off season, or at least relatively back to normal having a good solid defense, and I just don't think George Pickens being missing from this offense is going to change it that much....

And in no way am I saying this is George Pickens fault, and that we don't want George Pickens, and that George Pickens isn't great,

he is great ,but I don't think we need him on our team to have a successful offense, we don't need to score 30 points a game if you have a better defense, a better special teams, just more better players, that you can get and not only two.

I'm not saying they shouldn't try & some of these types of guys or not try to keep George Pickens but my reality says we'd be better off not doing either one of these moves...

Tag and trade Pickens for a 2 (if no one is willing to trade even a 2 for a player you are willing to pay 30+ million per year, that should tell you something)

Pick a good defensive player with the first
Trade down with the other snd pick 3 more good players on your board (2 with traded down pick and 1 with the Pickens trade)

Spend the saved 30-35 million (from not paying Pickens or Crosby) to get a good (not bottom barrel) DE, safety, and MLB

Suddenly we have a defense and run game

But that wasnt the question. It was only about the players. At least thats how i interpret the x post.

And without trade expanses or future money demands or even team needs to me its not a question at all: Crosby.

Yes. It will tell you that you suck at evaluating talent.

Costly move to sacrifice the future of your team just to find out something that probably a good consultant could tell you in 10 minutes.

Probably an ego problem. But then we all are aware of what cost this franchise the last 30 years.
