I wasn't one of those guys but that crowd isn't wrong. Milton did enough to win the backup spot.Hahahah.
This is why I love preseason. In the last two weeks we had guys claiming he could win a bunch of games if Dak got hurt and would likely be in line for a starting job in the NFL down the road.
You never know. Who said the Cowboys would go 13-3 if Romo went down in 2016? I think its the uncertainty that is intriguing. Because you don't know. The hype around him was wild. Hahahaha.
I mean I am not the biggest Dak guy but guys claiming he could lead us on a run if Dak got hurt was hilarious.
There's some talk that maybe Milton asked for his release. He didn't want to be a 3rd string QBI think just how it was handled. Its not even really about MIlton.
But last year he sucked and they made him the backup. He this year outperforms Howell....not only is he not named the 2nd QB but they cut him and possibly dont' try to trade him. It just shows mix messages.
Because they are still acquiring players, like Demercado.Timing is odd though. Why didn't they just cut him yesterday with the rest of the guys?
Jerry did it so he must be wrongMilton is/was terrible. I dont get the uproar
I'm starting to lean towards the Cowboys said Howell was the backup and he and his camp said screw that. Which is what happened in New England.I think we could have cut Clark if we were intent of claiming a HB. We would still have good #'s at S. Id say Carson, but I think they will add a vet and he will likely be cut then
Oh nos!!!!!Another wasted 3rd-day pick on a non-factor QB.
Wasted a 4th on Lance and now a 5th on Milton.
I didn't think he was awful last year but I did feel like he would be lucky to make the roster this year with any competition.I thought he was awful last year. He didn't belong on a football field. Another bone headed Jerry move. He finally starts to look like he's developing so you cut him. Makes sense.
Same here. The hype around him was wild. Hahahaha.
I mean I am not the biggest Dak guy but guys claiming he could lead us on a run if Dak got hurt was hilarious.
Just seeing Howell was named the backup...if that's the case then I can easily see Milton wanting to be let go after that. And the Cowboys doing it.i got to tell you, this one is a big head scratcher...i get the inconsistency in the last game but his touch looked so much better and he had come so far, why release him? There had to be other guys that would have been better to release right?
Shouldn't have traded for him in first place but couldn't resist a guy with a 95 mph fastball. This tells me they had made their decision before training camp started.
Howell was much better than Milton during camp practice according to all reporters' accounts. This tells me they had made their decision before training camp started.
So he wanted to start over Dak or nothing. Interesting .....There is a rumor, according to Broaddus, that Milton asked the Cowboys for a release.
We'll see if that's true.
Aren't you used to this after 30+ years? Soon Jerry will be wasting 3rd's and 2nd's....and mention "this will all go away when we win this thing"..... so have faith....LOLAnother wasted 3rd-day pick on a non-factor QB.
Wasted a 4th on Lance and now a 5th on Milton
