The Fins are saying the right PR lines? You are off by a mile there kid. The Fins players need to shut up. In fact, there are reports they were told to refer all questions to their head coach. Yet many of them ignored that.

Mike Pouncy was speaking out on Aaron Hernandez's behalf earlier this year. Not the best of bedfellows.
 
IDK this just reeks of something bad to me. Not defending Incognito in any way, but something just seems...off....with Martin. He very may well be the type of guy that just isn't made for the NFL. Incognito for sure went WAY over the line, but it seeming more and more like he was a vet trying to light a fire under a struggling rookie that was under performing. That voice mail that everyone has heard was in April while Martin was skipping OTA's. Not sure about anybody else, but if somebody would take something I said to some of the guys in my circle of friends out of context I would probably sound like a pretty awful person too.

There's something still not right about this whole story. On the surface I agree that Incognito is clearly out of line.

I don't know. I just feel like there's more to it.
 
I don't understand why people want it to be completely one way or the other.

Clearly RI is in the wrong and it out of his mind.

But it's also clear Martin is soft and not cut out for the NFL.

Why is that so hard to comprehend?

I think im just disagreeing with how you're wording things.

Personality wise.. is Martin mentally tough enough for the NFL? Possibly not..

Talent wise or physically, is he cut out for the NFL? Of course..

Agreed. He has the talent (or he wouldn't be there) and the size, but he's mentally "Soft".

And RI is just an idiot, always has been. That said, it does seem strange how Martin and RI were buddies (going by what their teammates say) and all of the sudden RI it's "RI is bullying Martin".

I honestly believe Martin may be Bi-polar. And RI has mommy issues or something.
 
They were scrolling across the bottom of the screen tonite during the Baylor game that according to police reports RI sexually harrassed a female at a golf tournament by touching her inappropriately with a golf club.

What a loser.

I agree i was pretty puzzled that all his teammates basically took RI's side.. and that being said he's STILL an imbecile.

But there could be much bigger problems with Martin's head too, like you said, bi polar or manic depressive or something.

Even still, i hope Incognito never plays another down in the NFL, not just for this issue, but for everything that adds up.

I'm going to ask you an honest question, and I would appreciate an honest answer: do you feel that some members of the Dolphins may feel as though they have to speak up, less they also be lumped in with a 'sissy' like Martin? Do you think there is a chance that the locker room culture here is so severely toxic that these men feel pressured to say what they're saying?

Last question: Is there any circumstance under which you think a grown professional football player could be bullied? If so, what would it take for you to consider it such?

I know you weren't asking me, .. but absolutely a grown man, professional football player could be bullied.

But normally you to be a target in some way for a bully to seek you out though. (smaller, older, weaker, softer, younger, etc.) Why was Martin seen as a target.

And while it is possible to be bullied, .. how you react to being bullied would determine how bad the bullying got, and how long it went on.

That is where I wonder about Martin.

Obviously RI is and idiot on many levels, .. but how it escalated that far and went on that long is a reflection on Martin too.

Perhaps he simply didn't feel like putting up with being hassled? Honestly, it doesn't matter a bit why it escalated as far as it did--all that matters is that what happened is not acceptable in any civilized environment. It's appalling to me that you're suggesting that Incognito isn't responsible for his own actions. He was not "compelled", as you appear to be saying, by anything other than his own idiocy.

I am asking you, in all seriousness, to please look up "victim blaming" on the internet. What you find may shock you, and may even ring a few bells as to how so many athletes/football teams throughout the country seem to get into so much trouble with rape and assault. What you are saying here is 100% victim blaming. If you had a daughter, and she was assaulted, would you repeat to her what you're telling me here--that there was some culpability on her part for what happened?

It was not--and is not--Martin's responsibility to kick someone's *** or be a "tough guy" or whatever else some of you are suggesting. Need I remind you that the very quality which you seem so hell-bent on parading around in a positive light is the very same one that landed Hernandez in jail?

Because it's easier to just have it one way or another. It takes a lot more thought to try and understand the complexities of situations.

That being said, I don't think there's a strong support for Incognito. I think most people that come off as 'supporting' RI are more or less saying that something is really fishy about the entire situation. But, if you question the validity of the situation, people start to look at it like you are a devout supporter of RI.
