Hatcher has signed with Wash *4years $27.5 million*

About what the Cowboys paid Free in 2011 and a bit more than the Cowboys are paying Scandrick.

I'm not sure what bad Cowboy contracts have to do with bad Commander contracts.

But I will say that those two bad Cowboy contracts were done seasons ago (with one being undone) and the Commander stoopidity is much more... er... recent.

Eddie LeBaron, our first starting QB will easily be the most famous one.

Sam Baker, Dean Hamel, Andy Stynchla, Babe Laufenberg,Super Bowl MVP Timmy Smith, Jose Cortez (might be why Larry Allen tried to kill him.) I am sure I am missing someone.

The most famous to go from Cowboys to Commanders was probably Calvin Hill. I hate that.

Ouch. Yeah that was what I was meaning earlier. The high caliber of players that's been with the team for some years. Not like an Anthony Armstrong. I remember when Lavar said it back in 2005ish on why he didn't think about going to Dallas.

Good. Now I don't have to worry about Jerry overpaying him. Though, we did just lose our two best DL.

Makings of a very rough season.

An understandable point of view at the moment, Vintage. But, to be honest, it's been long overdue to start building this defense the right way (through the draft). If we get past that point without any promising prospects then I'll probably have the same outlook that you do right now.

The one good thing about D line players is that the learning curve into the NFL isn't that large. It isn't uncommon for a Dlineman to come in and be very good to dominant in their rookie year. We fielded the 32nd ranked defense WITH Ware and Hatcher. Something had to give. I look at it as a clean slate. That can be a good thing or a bad thing but, honestly, we won't REALLY know until the end of the season. I'm willing to wait until then, at least, to see if the ship is heading in the right direction.

Plus those two best d-lineman were or are going to be 32 when the season starts? It's not like they had seasons of excellence ahead of them.

Skins never learn, they make Jerry seem sane.

Like when they beat us to win the division in 2012?

Skins have a new regime and a 24 year old franchise QB, we're an old wounded dog who can't be put down because of the huge contract our 34 year old injured mistake prone QB signed last season. Going to be a slow death these next few years.

They should get us some decent comp picks next year too.

Frankly, I'm excited to see that they're doing things differently in Dallas these days. Proof that they're changing.

I'm not going to scream gloom and doom until I see the opening day roster, but its looking rough now.

Hatcher had a good year. And had he had help, the DL wouldn't have been such a problem. We got ravaged by injuries. And our best DL played hurt and was ineffective most of the season.

But it's no guarantee that whomever we draft and our FA signings are an improvement.

And I disagree. I think rookie DL don't typically come in and dominate as rookies.

Wait. Did you actually WATCH RG3-13 last year when he actually had to, you know, play QB? I'll take our "34 year old injured mistake pronr QB" all day over that joke. Atleast Romo has shown he has the ability to lift the team to a victory once in a while. RG3-13? Dude can't even fend off a back up QB for his job.

The Skins bandwagon has all kinds of room for a "fan" like you. Hop on.

Won't get one for Ware but if Spencer signs elsewhere we will

After the way Hatcher dominated our o-line this season, just not having to face him twice a year is worth the price :)

Haven't seen anything on guarantees. That is what will really matter

with everything that they gave up to get a bad QB, they need to overpay to get good players in FA.....and they will lack up and coming talent for years thanks to the bob griffin trade.....we may take a step or two back, but i like our plan long term.
