Four years is too long at that age, but a lot depends on the structure of the contract. As disappointed as I'd be if we'd signed him to those numbers, I'm just as bummed to not have him the next two years.
Hope we get Melton done, now. Our DL is looking pretty sorry.

Wish we could have kept him.

Yet, proves he was being totally honest about going where the money led him. No hard feelings, but we've seen him at 3-4 DE, and he's an upgrade for them, but that's a lot of money for a space eater. He won't have the impact or press that he had at 4-3 DT, but he's making the last and best contract he will ever have, so good for him.

Like Bowen, not nearly as afraid of facing him in the 3-4 as I would had he gone to a 4-3 team.

The odd thing is, that was more fans speculating and the team has been amazingly silent.

Even in weeks where there is nothing going on, you can count on one of the Joneses for some idiotic soundbytes.

Creepy silence right now other than waving goodbye to Ware.

Indeed...I keep waiting for them to say....something.

Hatcher clearly said before the off-season, he's playing for the best contract, meaning money. People are acting surprised that he went to the team that just paid a butt-load of money.

Handled Ware's situation poorly? lmao. Sure. So overpaying Ware is the way to go? You do know that ALL SIGNS pointed to Ware not wanting to take a paycut. Sorry bud, but the right move was made. Oh, and letting Hatcher walk was the right thing to do as well if you ask me.

Who said I wanted Ware to be overpaid? Seriously? I've stated that we shouldn't sign him with that big of a contract. You seriously need to read my other postings before you judge where Im coming from.

Maybe this has already been posted, but are there any takers on how long it will take for him to bash his former team, player, or coach?

Making a lot of assumptions.

That the assumption that Hatcher's production will be missed? Nope. Not and assumption. It will be missed if the scrubs that we got are starting and we mess up on this draft.
That we probably didn't even try to sign him for a reasonable amount? They didn't offer D. Ware a number even though he was willing to take a paycut. Thus I doubt they offered Hatcher any kind of a figure whatsoever.
The Dallas FO really doesn't have a clue? Jerry is running the show. He doesn't have a clue. Thats not assumption. Its fact.

how do you know we didnt off or what we offered?

We didn't offer Ware anything. We let him walk. Thus Dallas FO probably did the same thing to Hatcher. If they didn't offer him I wouldn't be a bit surprised. Dallas FO has been dysfunctional for many years and I haven't seen they do the right thing in a very long time.

You know all that for a fact?

Even all the other assumptions you've made throughout the thread?

I doubt you were in those rooms to know what is happening.

At best you're guessing at what's going on based off what people are saying in the media.

And lord knows all those people are grade a straight shooters with no possible agenda.

I get the feeling if the same people were saying the exact opposite you'd be questioning their credibility.

Personally I'm happy for hatcher.

He achieved his goal.

He got paid!

Not assuming that we will miss his production. We will miss it. Period. To say otherwise would be in denial. If he makes more sacks than anyone on our Dline as a Skins, people will bringing it up once again.

As for assuming Jerry knows what his doing....not assuming that he doesn't know what his doing. He doesn't. Frankly, I think his an idiot and should not be a GM. Period.

Lastly, as for Hatchers deal. Yes Im assuming that they didn't give him an offer. Why should they? Jerry has been incompetent GM for many years now. I don't assume he will all of a sudden do the right thing. Do you think that Jerry is doing the right thing? Im assuming your thinking that.

Im going to miss Hatcher too. We will miss his production. When his healthy he was productive. If we don't fix our dline ASAP and we stick with scrubs as our starter, I'll be upset that we didn't try to keep Hatcher, which I believe we didn't. Our defense is terrible to begin with. Now we better get at least two starters for the Dline in this draft to fill in the gap. Or else a lot of folks here will be pissed.
