Not sure about the exact details but if Jerruh is truly innocent then he needs to stand his ground and fight this. Potential extortionists like this paint real victims in a negative light.

I get that it's bad timing with the Ray Rice fiasco, but people need to understand that you can't just make accusations and expect a free pay day with no consequences.

He ought to be sued for stupidity

I did but don't anymore. His wife has stayed with him thru everything & if he's been a faithful husband I am Cindy Crawford!

So she is no longer a good person because she has stayed with Jerry through everything?

I wonder why the lawsuit is for so little money. A $1 million is a lot, but relative to Jerry's net worth it isn't much at all. Maybe she is telling the truth and it isn't all about the money. Or maybe she and her attorney are incompetent. How much of a $1 million would she take home if she won? Around $300,000 after taxes and paying her lawyer? Seems like a low number to me.

Perplexing situation for Jerry Jones.

On one hand, his team of attorneys already have publicly claimed this is an extortion attempt by the alleged victim.
Yet to prove his 'innocence' it would require the procedural process of the suit to play out - discovery phases, depositions, statements under oath, pre-trial hearings, motions to exclude evidence, etc.
Ultimately, if necessary concluding with a jury trial with the defense team at least proving that the plaintiff claims are false, unsubstantiated, and baseless under the law.

A continual public trial to prove his innocence would be a media circus ~ live coverage of Jerry Jones taking the witness stand (TMZ, CourtTV, etc.) in a salacious lawsuit.
Probably the smartest and safest move for Jones, give her the 'money' in order to drop the lawsuit (they just will not say it publicly).

Visible wealthy public figures putting themselves in very uncompromising situations ~ sometimes things get out of control.

I'm very close to turning in my fan card for this organization so long as Jerry Jones owns it. if he's convicted then good riddance and I'm out.
