Right, but I'm sure Garrett saw more from all the passes he was throwing in the training room.

Lets also don't forget here. It was YOU who said he showed them more. Well, where did he do that and how do YOU know he showed them more? I mean you said it yourself. Your view, like mine, was from your living room.

Once the Drs sign off on him, Romo is playing. Not sure how anyone would think otherwise.

The minute he went down, I said he would take the needle and return but knowing this would happen and it being the right thing are two different things.

The problem with Jerry is that it was a Monday Night Game and all eyes are on the Cowboys now, because of their record. He just can't stay out of the cameras and lime-light.

Again all you saw, what from the living room? I saw him hit Williams from a big 1st down, but time ran out and we go into over time, frankly he did not have that many plays when he did return.

Right. I don't know how anyone could see how much "zip" he had on the ball. He was too busy getting sacked when he came back. I didn't see enough to say that Romo couldn't make the throws.

If Weeden would've thrown a pick for us to lose the game and fans found out that Romo was cleared to come back....fans would be LIVID.

I thought his season was over to be honest. I never seen Romo lay on his back that long after a injury.

You have to have common sense. The Docs cleared him of it not being a serious injury. The coach needed to look at his mannerisms
and see that he wasn't moving all that well. Some times no matter how much a player protests that he's fine and want's to play doesn't mean he should be allowed to.

Let's say...they had rode w/ Weeden. And he won.

Then your opening yourself up to a QB controversy. It's a no win situation really. I think @ least that thought crossed some peoples minds last night. Wouldn't want to open that can of worms.

There wouldn't be a controversy, but if Weeden does perform and it keeps Romo on his toes, than there is no harm behind the threat of competition.

Watch the end of the game if you can. He had very little on the ball after he came back.

It was obvious from the post-game press conference with Garrett that he probably didn't whol heartedly agree with the decision.

A reporter asked him about putting Romo back in and it sounded like Garrett dodged directly answering the question and instead stood there and said Weeden was doing a good job at that point and other bits of praise (of Weeden). It was a bit odd.

Maybe I misheard it all or read something into what he said that wasn't there...anybody else see/notice it?

Because that is how the game played out... Weeden was clearly better.

Let the fans be livid. It's better than taking the chance of screwing up your whole season by getting your starter put out for the rest of the season over one game. If not ending his career.

Exactly how I see it. JG should have used his own eyes. If he did he must be blind.

True, but people do not care about the doctors' evaluation. The point of contention is the accusation that Jones forced Garrett to put Romo back into the game.

You can be hurt for the year during a routine practice. Romo wasn't in anymore risk of hurting himself for the year than he is any other week or time. Why play him at all if that's what we're worried about? Just sit him all year and bring him in the playoffs. Atleast he won't be at risk of getting injured for the year.

What suggests that Jones "FORCED" him back into the game? Because he came on to sidelines? You think Garrett would rather have Weeden out there than Romo if he's okay to come back?

I saw it. I just can't say that accurately on 3 or 4 passes. I didn't see enough to say that. There was no players open. The team looked like it was just as injured as Romo with the lack of separation they were getting from defenders.

In practice, they don't go full speed with the intent to put you out of the game. Last night, that's exactly what Washington was trying to do to Romo. I understand what you are saying but in retrospect, I just don't believe it was worth it and what's more, I don't believe playing him gave us the best chance to win.

There are things I don't like about Romo but it's never going to be to the point where I would not respect his heart or his abilities. Sometimes, it's better if you make the hard call, in spit of the player's desire to play is all.

There is a difference between what normal risks there are for a player and putting one back in a game where one, he just took a heck of a shot to an already injured back. And two, putting him back in when he was already getting killed. No one at practice is touching him, I would bet the farm on that.

I think Romo gives us the best chance to win that game last night. Its hard to say in hindsight because 1) We never got to see what would happen once Weeden would get blitzed and 2) We don't know how Weeden would've reacted towards that blitz.

If it was up to me? I would've left Weeden in there for the simple fact for whatever reason Haslett refused to blitz him. Not only that but you may have a chance to get his trade value up some. Teams see him in doses and maybe like what they see. Or not even for trade purposes but to see if you can rely on him and give him some in game reps if you are to go without Romo for a extended amount of time.

The only way I was okay with Romo coming back in was if that game was won last night. But it wasn't so the negativity and criticism should surface for it. When you make risky moves like that they better work.
