A healthy Weeden than a doped up broken multi million dollar starter with half a season left.

You say this as if Romo has never done this, he constantly comes through in those situations. Weeden not so much.
Weeden probably goes three and out and the Cowboys lose in regulation.

Coach Jones strikes again. Garrett probable felt he had no choice but to reinsert Romo after his bosses comment. I have no doubt Weeden would have won that game. Hell, Johnny Footbal would have won that game. Why isn't that guy around here? Screw you Jerry Jones.

Am i the only one aganist Romo coming in ?Im being honest after Weeden put 10 for us I cringe and shook my head when I knew Romo was coming back in. Im not taking anything from Romo and I do believe with out him this team would not have 6 wins. But i just felt like this was not Romo's game to win. He wasnt seeing the blitzes, no audibles, shaken up, injured. With 1:57 left in this game I would went with 10 carries by Murray and 3-5 throws from Weeden to set up a field goal.

No. I was on here last night and said I didn't want him in for a variety of reasons : a) he was hurt and I didn't want to risk a worse injury b) blitz was killing us so (a) seemed likely; c) Weeden not only got us 10 pts but he didn't look fazed at all and he was driving the ball to the WRs. Looked very comfortable. Overall it was one game in a long season and though the chance of winning with Weeden was just as good as a hurt Romo. PLUS I assumed we would rely on the run...fail

I don't agree here. With 2nd and 2 in overtime, I'd bet that we make that first down, if only because we would have run the ball.

Ok, and he just as constantly (consistently) throws picks in those types of situations. The difference in this one was he just got injured pretty badly.
So we lost in OT. Not sure this is like hockey and you get one point for it.

Got news for you, you are dead wrong about that. I won't have a chance to prove it, but if I was a betting man I would bet that if Garrett was not here next year he has a head coaching job in the NFL. And I would win that bet.

LOL

You're wrong. I would prove it, but I won't get the chance. I would bet you on it, but I'm not a betting man. Just know that if I did bet you, I would win.

It's a disease.

THERE IS NOT A MORE IMPORTANT TIME FOR JERRY TO JUST NOT TALK THAN GAME DECISIONS LIKE THIS ONE.

NONE

He's just making Garrett look bad at best and at worst making him a puppet HC.

There's a direct correlation of the Jerry-bashing thread and Jerry making comments like this.

I thought it was a mistake to put Tony back in last night and I think it was a mistake to do it this morning. I've heard all the pundits say that if he was healthy, he should be playing but I don't see any way that you could look at Tony last night and come away thinking he was healthy.
Romo's got the quickest reaction time in the business, and he never even reacted to Meriweather's blitz on the sack fumble.

I actually think it was not a good idea AT ALL to put Romo back in, and yes it should of been coaches decision. Always coaches decision.

Weeden should of he played it out considering the game situation

Yeup... have to let the hot hand play that one out. Bad decision by non-football people.

You don't think it is clear what he was telling him? Then how on earth can you be upset about it?

BTW - the phrase "2 cents" refers to giving an opinion on the topic. If you don't know what was said, how do you know he wasn't simply relaying good news? That wouldn't be "giving his 2 cents"

You are conflating what I said. How do expect to have a conversation if you don't understand what I'm saying and then put words in my mouth that I never said. If you are just going to hear what you want to hear and only address that then what's the point in conversing at all. We can all just post whatever we want to and never give a care about what anyone else has to say. That seem to be how you want things to operate.

Or you can pull your head out and try to understand what I am actually saying. That way when you do contribute your 2 cents in response, it will be purposeful rather than turning the topic to a tangent.

Jerry was in the exam room when the Dr. pronounce Romo fit to return to the field. Jerry then went to the sideline to convey this news to Garrett. His exact words to Jason were "Tony is ready to return to the field". That's all that was said, they didn't have a conversation about it. I'm saying it's not clear what Jerry meant by that. He could have meant it as a direction, boss to employee in which case the decision for Romo to play or sit would be out of Garretts hands. Garrett said in the post game interview on the sideline that Weeden was playing well and he was considering leaving him in the game. So what changed his mind? Could it be... the man signing his checks telling him otherwise? Of course it could.

Now, you tell me... how on earth can I be upset about Jerry adding his 2 cents?

What suggests that Jones "FORCED" him back into the game? Because he came on to sidelines? You think Garrett would rather have Weeden out there than Romo if he's okay to come back?

Really? What an obtuse statement. Romo looked like a zombie on the sideline and played like one when came back. Did Jerry say "Tony wants to come back, the trainers that owe their existence to me didn't seem to demur too much when they saw Tony's and my collective enthusiasm for him returning, But ... Uhh, what do you think Jason, the decision is ah, yours, I know Tony wants to play, but you have the ultimate authority, and rightly so, as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys"

What a joke the Jerry Jason situation is.
