no real evidence to be had from all accounts. No doctors report; hospital report; no film or phone pictures; he said she said. So really the NFL is just trying to make it look like they turn over every stone when in reality I think they are trying to keep making the NFLPA defend bad guys so that in the next CBA negotiations they have a weaker position.

Absolutely. The NFL is playing Chess while most of us are identifying it with Checkers.
And face it- the NFL needs set up something to exploit for later, things aren't looking great for them, image-wise right now.

Am I the only person that thinks that time on the commish exempt list should count as gametime served, and then the player should be fined the appropriate amount of game checks once suspension is decided?
Seems weird too have a system that is set up to punish players twice.
Also, new suspensions would take new, lower contract $. If u take $ from contract the player is on while the crime is committed, it'll probably hit the player harder.

can't use the new policy so since this is his first offense the MOST they can do is 2 games. And they will have a hard time making that stick with Judge Doty.

whoa 2 games only? how are you so sure about this? i mean where are you getting your info from. that would be way better than 4,6,8 obviously.

Nice three bank shot there! My initial suspicion was that the NFL would issue a suspension so it would appear they are doing something, and it would then be appealed away to nothing.

Panther fan here. What I've been hearing over the past hour *Nothing official obviously* is that Hardy will probably remain on the commissioners exempt list until the Mecklenberg AG turns over his court case files, which isn't going to happen. The NFL has been out to screw Hardy since day 1 and it bit the Panthers in the *** and I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens to the Cowboys. As for Hardy, he is one hell of a player that treats fans like no other.

What is the players union doing in all this? Are they going to bat for Hardy in this matter?

North Carolina Attorney General and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney need to counter sue the NFL and make it clear the NFL is a business and not a court of law. Should Taco Bell be allowed to sue the North Carolina Attorney General and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney over information about one of their employees? Of course not and the NFL should not have any special rights over other businesses. This problem needs to cured even if it has to go to the supreme court to put the NFL in its place. The NFL is not a court of law, or a police department, or a legislative branch. The NFL is a business and deserves no special privilege or special information. The court reports and information are not the NFLs business. The NFL needs to be put in its place and in no uncertain terms.

Nope. the guy missed 15 games last year. no matter if he was paid or not. the guy was told he could not play for 15 weeks. that is an entire year. when is enough a enough?he did wrong. he got punished for it. and some people still want more blood. in my opinion it's time to let this man play football.

Has anyone watched Between Two Ferns? This is a hilarious and ingenious show where Zach Galifianakis interviews everyone and anyone. From Bradley Cooper to Barack Obama. It's a roast so to say, where the person being interviewd go's along with every question and kinda fights back. Most are hilarious.

Recently the show contacted The NFL and wanted to interview Roger Goodall. The NFL told them he would do the show as long as they did not make fun of him and do jokes that would make him look bad. They told the NFL that was the basis of the show and that everyone knew it going in. The told the NFL that even "the POTUS, the leader of the the free world" played along and did the show . Their response, "well, he's not the leader of the NFL"
This guy is an arrogant DB. His legacy will be the downfall of the league.

Am I right that a suspension longer than six games would not only hurt the Cowboys but also would cost the Panthers a compensatory pick?

If that's the case, expect the league to go no more than six.

Loved that show and Zach. Good guy. Weird quirks and phobias though...
