When I click on this link, all I get is a blacked out article. Regardless, no Dr has said that he can never play again. They only said that he was not yet cleared to play. The decision to retire for good was his. I do not fault him for it but at the end of the day, the original statement is still accurate. He retired because of Concussions and not because he was not talented enough. Your own words support this.

Nothing random about it. All of these teams have had either coaches or players legitimately recruiting Collins.

If it wasn't random, it was completely uninformed because both already have their left tackle role filled so he would in no way, shape, or firm be 'promised' the starting left tackle role in either place and you were trying to claim.

There is nothing to say Dallas is even remotely interested unless you believe Rapoport's report. According to him, Dallas is "interested" in everybody.

I've also read enough reports to know that teams aren't allowed to formally meet with him until his college class finals are completed on May 9th.

That is all speculative to me. The Dolphins have sent players, Rex Ryan met with him. What have the Cowboys done to show interest exactly?

I hope they have reached out to Les Miles and Cam Cameron who JJ and JG have great relationships with. I'm guessing Collins is also seeking his coaches advice on what to do. Just a guess on my part, but it seems LSU players really like Miles.

Had not heard about not being able to meet with him until his classes are done. So all the UDFA's that sign, never meet with any coaches?

What can the Cowboys do exactly? When teams are prohibited from formal contact until his class' finals are over?

Carolina has converted DL Nate Chandler penciled in at left tackle. But hey, he is going to look at Ron Leary at LG as a better opportunity. You are just too sharp for me.

Irrelevant. Part of the reason these players are reaching out is because team officials cannot. Once I hear about a similar push by Dallas prior to being able to visit with him officially I might get more hopeful.

And another thing, no interest to my knowledge from Dallas during the draft process. He visited with Baltimore, Carolina, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, New Orleans, the Giants, San Francisco and St. Louis. They would already have a leg up as he should know exactly where he would fit in and how.

I think the rule goes into effect immediately after the draft. It is also why some players miss their initial rookie minicamps.

Obviously. You should mention Tampa Bay and Miam and make yourself look uninformed and foolish again.

Not likely. I see where you're slanted.

And Dallas wouldn't? That's like saying they wouldn't take Mariota if he were available today either because they didn't do enough research (on a player they felt they had no shot at).

You're desperately reaching here and it's showing.

I think writers like to throw the Cowboys name into the mix just to stir the pot and get people's attention.

Notice how every big-time player who gets cut or who has a curiosity-factor attached to him is rumored to be of interest to the Cowboys?

You want to get people talking? Mention Collins possibly joining the best offensive line in the NFL, and this after we basically "stole" Hardy off the free agency market and Randy Gregory in the second round of the draft.

You betcha fans are sweating us landing Collins too, whether the interest is real or the imagined scenario of creative writers.

Sorry, the real reach is coming from people like you who honest and for true think Dallas is a front runner.

It is so like the Adrian Peterson fairy tale as no matter what factual information exists to the contrary, hope is all you have.
