News: Can Tony Romo Ever Get The Respect His Play Demands?

So explain Romo's 2:1 ratio in the playoffs, then watch this thread take off to the ionosphere.

In Romo's 4 playoff losses his TD to turnover ratio was 4-4 compared to 11-2 for the opposing QB's.

So, it's okay to blame someone else for not including all information in a discussion, even though the information being omitted isn't relevant to the conversation. It is also okay to personally cite incomplete information, even though the information not being provided is, in fact, relevant to the point being made.

You can't make this stuff up.

Don't worry, that's just the qualification testing standard to become a media analyst, not named Sturm.

You really sound foolish thinking he can do it by himself. smh

I didn't say that he should. I'm saying he needs to win a ring to get the all around respect other QB's get. It's all nice and dandy that we love him as fans, but that wasn't the question.

To be bluntly honest, failure to win a Championshop falls upon the Head Coach...and not any of his players.

It falls upon the players they're the ones on the field. Give any HC a Tom Brady or a Joe Montana and they'll win a championship. Belichick was just another HC until Tom Brady came along.

What a stupid thing to say! Brady would have been murdered behind the olines that Romo's had. But, coming from you, I consider the source as do many others.

Well, not the 8 million on-line followers that you claim to have. lmao

He doesn't get 1/10th the amount of respect he deserves. I wish I could challenge any of those ESPN twits to name a QB who has played 9 years or more and never had a rating under the 90's.

I read your post and you're blaming Parcells for Romo bobbling a snap which had been his job entering the season. Putting the blame on Parcells for a mistake Romo made is ridiculous. It's typical of this board to point the finger of blame for every mistake Romo has made on someone else. Romo takes snaps every game from a center and had been flawless holding for kicks until that moment. He bobbled the snap and unfortunately it's been the signature play of his career. If he never wins a ring that play will be the one he's best remembered for.

I SAID to myself...."Self, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, hit reply on a KJJ post."

******t..............

If you ever hit reply again you'll be wasting your time...buh bye!

You wouldn't stand a chance against them because the passer rating stat doesn't carry 1/10th the weight of playoff wins and championships. Romo led the entire league in passer rating last season and only received 2 MVP votes which shows just how little weight that stat carries.

Still shaking my head at that comment. It's falls all on the guy standing on the sidelines wearing headsets. LOL

Which is why I find the Andrew Luck hype comical.

Andrew luck is the best young QB in the game who turned a 2-14 Indy team into an 11-5 playoff team as a rookie. Without him the Colts have nothing. They've made the playoffs every year under Luck and after only 3 seasons he already has a better playoff record than Romo.

That only shows how stupid the voters are. Passer rating is a great stat assuming you are comparing guy with roughly equal activity.

Tom Ryle to me is the president of what I like to call The Cowboy Sisterhood.

The sect of fans that do nothing but complain how certain players dont get respect in the media. Fans who will always interject in a conversation about Andrew Luck or Phillip Rivers with " They arent better then Romo " or a conversation about Demarious Thomas or AJ Green by saying " They arent better then Bryant"

Just enjoy the players and enjoy the game and stop worrying about ESPN and SI

I can't even recall any mention of passer ratings during the 70s, 80s and most of the 90s. It's a stat that became more prominent due to the league becoming more pass happy. It's the finishing touch that puts a nice little ribbon on a QB's day. The fact that Romo has been so efficient statistically through the years has put a lot more scrutiny on his lack of playoff success.
