Who is switching to Windows 10?

If you have the I still believe sax player from the 80's classic movie The Lost Boys in your sig image...you HAVE looked back....WAY back.

I meant my taste in OS, not movies. :)

For you:

Gave up Windows many years ago for Macs and have never looked back. It just works.

I know one day I will need to give up my Win7 64Bit but hopefully I can hold out 5 more years?!

I have a sony vaio z series, compact fast model. Win7, I-7, 8gb 512ram. Since 2009.
I would also like to get 5 more years. :)

Nice!!

The touch screen and tablet concept... Along with smartphones.... For some reason has caused Microsoft to look like they don't know what the heck they are doing. Amateur hour!

Maybe I was just lucky, but I never had any of the problems others did with Vista. I still have it on my computer at home (Laptop and Work Computer have Windows 7), and it is my preferred OS.

VIsta had a kernel problem, it was bogged down in the memory it used relative to its performance. I really liked Windows 7 and never even thought for a moment about switching to 8, but the amount of good reports of 10 has me thinking I will switch soon.

Windows 10 is Windows 7 + 8 hybrid in one.

Will be getting it.

I dislike Mac with a passion.

Windows is like having a muscle car, whereas a Mac is like a minivan.

I have read like 10 articles on this, and I still am stumped about whether or not to change. I understand there is a possibility that they will charge subscription fees after 2 years but they are not saying that in an agreement EULA.

So do you think that it is worth it to go from WIndows 7 to 10? I have heard very positive things about the OS so far, I have Windows Media Center, so it sucks that would be gone.

Yes it is worth it. Windows 8 was... an attempt to follow apple with some of the user friendly aspects.. but was a pretty big failure.

Windows 10 is going to retain the user friendly aspect for that population but it will feel definitely like windows 7.

I'd recommend it. My father and I skipped 8 completely and he works with them. Says something about that last product.
