No need to pull the race card.

You can turn a blind eye to it and pretend it doesn't exist in sports and society in general. Or face reality.

That is 100% accurate. Witten is probably more demonstrative and vocal than Dez and has been before he got here.

Is getting old at this point. We all love his fired up attitude, but he needs to be more of a leader on this team. How about showing restraint instead of getting in a punching match every week? What are you teaching the younger guys come game day? His lack of control of his emotions may cost us on game day. He is sending the wrong message in my opinion.

I think Dez is smarter enough to not let the fire come out of the smoke. Perhaps, it's just a method of bringing passion to the game for the young guys to see.

Dez also tweeted he wish he would have sucker punched a ram. lol
he said he would have done it better.

But I blame the coaches for all the fighting. No discipline, or control, or they want the fights.

I think the coaches wanted it to happen to a degree. Every coach would like to know how much fight is in his team.

There's a difference between passion and anger and Dez seems to use passion as the excuse for every outburst. Him and Witten went at it on the sidelines a couple of years ago and Ware had to step in and literally shook Dez to knock it off. Dez was visibly angry but he claimed it was passion. He got mad at a ref last season and again was visibly angry but denied being angry saying it was passion. I love Dez as a player but he has to calm down and stop being in denial about his temper.

That was a game in which the lions came back from a huge deficit and won. He had a right to be mad then. We had a team that was quite comfortable with losing in those days. We had a team that let this be acceptable behavior:

Losing a game to a divisional rival and right after getting an autograph from the opposing team's QB.
I don't condone or encourage fighting, but I do give Dez props for sticking up for his teammate, or do we need a situation like where Golden Tate knocked Sean Lee down and taunted and NOBODY did anything?

Sometimes I feel the importance of situations involving Dez are exaggerated.

I'm still amazed that there is a thread about Dez and a fight that started on the other field, in which Dez didn't even throw a punch. Yet it still comes back to Dez because he was talking back to a Rams CB. I'm pretty sure Witten was talking smack directly to a Rams coach when the LBs couldn't cover him. I'll bet he didn't restrict it to the coach either, I'm fairly sure the LBs all heard about it too. Maybe I need to go make thread about it to express my outrage. ;)

I can only assume this entire thread is a troll attempt or the OP just really doesn't like Dez.

I am pretty sure they did, fisher and JG talked together and felt the first practice was lackluster, so they amped it up. And they seemed
happy with the result.

No it is a stupid question is what it is. What did you just start watching the NFL?

http://cowboysblog.***BANNED-URL***...leadership-but-its-misguided-leadership.html/

Seems like a question many are posing now. The only thing that appears to be stupid is your dumb response to a simple question.

I guess you never stop crying do you? Poor guy.

The Joker! err... Rowdy!

I apologize. You are the personification of Rowdy. This thread is an excellent example of your avatar. My bad.

And there ya go. Im more interested in conversation then impressing anyone with an avatar. FYI...........absolutely nothing impressive about yours.

Didn't Choice do that for charity or something? Some kid?

Did you just say that you would prefer the leader who watches his teammates fight it out while he's chilling on the sidelines? Do you have some sort of filter that replaces football with curling or something? That would actually explain a lot.

I would prefer a leader that doesnt jump into fights yes. Curling?
Nope. Why worry about something you can't control? Would him costing us a game and you being able to say "I told you so" really be worth worrying over this kind of nonsense? Not saying that's your goal. I mean I get it but maybe I'm just not that emotionally invested to worry about trash talk.

Ray Lewis used to talk trash and involved in many fights, countless other greats too. Better than watching the emotionless teams of the past. I couldn't stand watching our players taking cheap shots and none of our team would take up for each other.

Ray Lewis the guy that got away with Murder?

It seems like you love to argue, and that is giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're not just flat out trolling.

It is almost like your Garrett threat got shut down and now you need a new thread to play the devil's advocate.

That is just me speculating though...

Just asking a question. But seeing as though all you seem to do is follow me around and try to start BS, it appears that its you that likes to argue. Many articles are popping up over the net talking about it. Here is one for you to read.

If Dez doesn't leave Jerry's side: "ESPN BREAKING NEWS: Dez Bryant is a poor teammate, leaves others to brawl while he watches from the sideline!"

If Dez leaves and fights: "ESPN BREAKING NEWS: Dez Bryant starts another altercation at Cowboys camp. Does he have a mental disorder?"

Poor Dez, can't win for losing.

Although I agree its not that big of a deal, it appears to be something that other people are talking about and questioning.

Question: Is Dez’s immaturity starting to rear its ugly head a bit? He’s criticizing lack of intensity in practice when he’s not practicing, charging into a brawl with his helmet off and getting punched?

Babe Laufenberg: Simply stated, Dez needs to handle himself better in those situations. He did not practice either of the two days, but the previous day he went on the field to confront a Rams player. Just can’t happen. I believe he thinks he is showing leadership, but it is misguided leadership.

Please don't start multiple threads with Dez as the topic in a disparaging manner to encourage clicks.

Perhaps. Or perhaps he just cant control himself very well. Love the passion, not so much about the example he is setting. First couple of years no problem. Now that he is a veteran leader with a big new contract, he needs to set a better example.

Ray Lewis that won Super Bowls, going to the Hall of Fame. Not in prison, not convicted of murder. When did Dez murder someone? When was the last time Dez served time in prison? Oh, never. Everything he does is blown out of proportion. I can't believe you're still going on with this.

Its well beyond ESPN. Local beat writers are questioning his leadership.
