I was talking more about wingspan. Collins has an 82" wingspan while Leary's is about 81", according to one of their scouts. Although, Leary's listed wingspan is 83".

The odd thing is that Martin has a small wingspan (77" IIRC).

Because some of these guys who don't know what they are looking at decided it was a good time to say Randle isn't good and thought that the GIF was a good example.

Oh good that's how I understood it, I felt he might have had it outside if he tried to get around Free's outside shoulder but the best option was what you said, stay tight to Fred's left then follow Collins' block.

The Cowboys encourage the RBs to get up-field and avoid taking it to the sidelines. I did appear that he might have been able to get the corner on that play but it's hard to know because Randle is more quick than fast.

I actually think they should encourage McFadden to take it wide because he has shown that he can get the corner with his speed.

The Cowboys are not a WCO (West Coast Offense).

They are do use a ZBS (Zone Blocking Scheme).

Error on my part. When I think of ZBS, I think of WCO and get the two screwed up.

And if you say that, then you get called out for not showing examples.

Then you show examples and it's not enough.

The you point out to Ben Muth, a former All-Pac 10 offensive tackle pointing out to Randle not being very good...and he has an agenda.

I think it's obvious that the Cowboys coaching staff isn't happy with Randle's performance. They benched him for the entire second half of the Saints game and it's pretty obvious that if CMike was better at the blitz pickups, he would be starting right now.

Actually there is a guy that posts here whose Dad is an NFL coach. That guy won't admit to it and I'm not going to reveal his user name, but just keep in mind that at some point you could be arguing with somebody that has access to information that average fans don't. There are also some High School and College coaches that have posted here as well as some people that played college football.

Murray has great vision and acceleration, but average agility and poor top end speed.

Murray has possibly the worst vision I've ever seen in a tailback.

If he had great vision he might come close to being worth that 8 mill with all of his other skill sets.

My feelings aren't hurt.

You saying Randle sucks is fine. That's your opinion. Have at it.

But saying he sucks and using this play as an example is a joke.


Also, it doesn't take an NFL employee to know a zone blocking scheme and how it operates. I just happen to understand it.

I've been right about players before and I've been wrong about players before.

If Randle is out of the league in a couple years then just add him to the list of players I was wrong about.

I think the OL is good as well so if im wrong about them then add them to the list.

I think predictability and the loss of Romo is why the run game is not producing. Not Joseph Randles talent because the guy is not bad at anything. He just lacks a physical presence after contact.

Looking at this play if Randle follows the design of the play it's going for some good yards. I think this is a huge frustration for the coaching staff. I'm sure the Oline is frustrated as well even though we don't hear about it. I would point to a play like the one above and say this line can't get any continuity with the RB because the RB doesn't allow it he free lances too much. In my opinion this is where Murray was so good, and the line clicked because they knew he would follow the play and he would setup his blockers.

If Collins continues to play like that and CMike is everything we hope he is mane we can get back to the ground n pound of last year.

IMO this play is a the staple of why the Run game isn't working. Well with Randle. Let's hope this changes

Don't know what you're looking at -- Randle was ready to cut and go but somebody stepped into the lane at the last second. And even after breaking to the outside, he turned north fairly quickly again. There was nothing wrong with that run.
