Eh, as long as he comes cheap, low cap hit if needed to be released, then I would be fine with it.

I would pick him up 1 second after released. I turn over every stone to find the next QB, or a good back up. QB position is the most important position in not only football, but sports. And you can't throw away your season if your QB goes down. Not saying he's the savior, but he's a young up and coming QB with some serious ability. As far as the off the field stuff, Jerry is no stranger to guys like this. We can handle it.

Even if he doesn't pan out at QB, at least Jerry will have found a new drinking buddy and wing man. "You old lecher, JJ."

I do have a feeling he will be on the team next season. Jerry wasn't the only one who loved him, he was high on our overall draft board---we just chose to go at another position.

I could see us keeping Cassell and bringing in Johnny and draft a QB.

If Johnny came in humble and ready to learn, it wouldn't be the worst idea. You just have to make to make sure that you are not counting on him.

If he is rehabilitable .....get him. I think he can play in the league. If our support system is so great, he would thrive here.

Never use Johnny and humble in the same sentence, it's not in his nature. He may be embarrasses by the way the Browns are doing him right now but that's not humbling him. Being humbled is a lasting effect on a person and I don't think Johnny get's it. I pray he is never a Cowboy.

if were high enough on the waiver list, he's going to be a Cowboy

I think the Browns are being ridiculous and I'm not a huge Manziel fan.

But, he wasn't breaking the law. And he wasn't breaking the law before. He voluntarily went into rehab. And it doesn't seem that the Browns have any evidence that his off the field behavior is impacting his actual on the field performance. If he's missing meetings and showing up late for practice and is in 'no condition to perform' that's one thing.

This to me is just petty nonsense. It's the type of nonsense you see from HR departments that just want to stick their nose in the employee's business just because they have nothing else better to do.

Maybe there's more to it than what is out in public, but from what I see it's no small wonder the Browns are the worst organization in the NFL.

I know we are seeing Johnny Football queer his career in Cleveland and I know we are split about him coming here..

but I think he would be perfect as our backup and fit the timetable for Romo eventually leaving.

Hope it happens..

Its an interesting storyline because Jerry wanted him. and im sure he still does because he knows Manziel will sell in Texas. Not to mention the guy has a world of talent, you cant do what he did in college without the goods to back it up. Just needs to grow up. As did Dez Bryant. Well he hasnt really grew up yet, but Dallas still has its security babysitting him. Same can be done for Manziel.

I wouldnt be for or against it. But it would be entertaining.
