Tony Romo - how many years left

Weeks not years at this rate.

I have been a Cowboys fan for over 45+ years and never seen such a pathetic team.

It's time for a change.

The Romo era has to end.

I don't know what to think anymore.

We have everybody back and relatively healthy and we are just getting embarrassed.

He's done. Sure, he can keep playing for a few more years but at what cost? His body is broken down

Reality of the current situation may dictate his longevity....he can only take so many injuries.

I had my questions about his longevity coming into last year, then he went and took a team to 12-4. It's looking like that was the last gasp. Time to move on.

They have to look for another QB, Tony's shoulder looks like it will be glass from now on.

The reality of Romo's deteriorating ability to remain healthy is upon us.

He is a very old 35 as opposed to a "young" 35....

Think about Thanksgiving and other good things. Our angst over the Cowboys situation will have no impact on the decision making upstairs...

With Romo at age 35 and turning 36 before next season, how many more seasons is realistic for him to play? He theoretically has the Oline in place now and for several years to protect him. His skill and level of play still look to be sharp.

Brady is 38 and looks as good as ever. Everyone knows him saying he's got 10 more years that he doesn't believe it either.

Payton at 39, it looks like he's possibly turned a corner.

It's safe to say they've all taken beatings throughout their careers so what's realistic......3, 4 or 5 years?

It hurts me to say that he should strongly consider hanging them up.

All those millions in the bank can't buy a heathly life after football.

Romo' s arm strength is greatly in decline. I know hes never had the strongest arm or the most zip on his balls, but way too many float on him.

Read a tweet from a doctor commenting on Romo's clavicle- said it really takes six months for it to be "as strong as the other one" after a fracture.

Really, after seven straight losses, Dallas should have shut down Romo. Now 2016 is in jeopardy if he doesn't heal properly......or ever.:banghead:

Obviously there is a ton more info to digest now than when the thread was created ...

With that in mind, it's alarming how brittle his body has or is becoming. It's not like this is a career-threatening injury, but it'll be interesting to see if Tony sees the writing on the wall.

He can hardly take a hit without breaking a collarbone, rib, backbone, or puncturing a lung.
