Looks like Glenn is going to get it next week, hard to believe Negan is going to club Daryl to death when he is already shot.

If that happens and Daryl survives (seems unlikely they would kill both), he's really going to be consumed with rage. He was already feeling guilty. If he sees Glenn get spiked after coming out in the woods to save him...

Kirkman has said the finale will be shocking even to those who have read the comics. Whether that means a different victim or a different twist on the death, we'll see. One thought I had was negan somehow coercing a member of the group to swing the bat, but who knows.

How does this one Dwight guy keep getting the drop on Daryl? The obvious answer... Kirkman wrote it that way.

I hate it when they do stupid things and it ends up catching up with them. This episode had "don't be idiots" written all over it.

It wasn't only me thinking that!

From the beginning the writers have made the group easy pickings for others...

The group knew the Saviors knew about Alexandria, but there's no outside-the-gate surveillance and when they do go out, it's like they're on a Sunday stroll.

It's like me putting an open box on the floor... I know one of our cats will jump in it... The writers have the group acting the same way in arc after arc.

So Glenn, Michone and Rosita are captive and Daryl has been shot. Carol is still outside the walls of Alexandria because she doesn't want to kill anymore but the Saviors keep making her do it anyway. Rick leaves it to Morgan to find Carol. Funny to me is Morgan can't start killing and Carol can't stop. With the Savior body count growing, it's time for Negan to show up and exact some revenge. How many will Negan kill before Rick comes to the rescue? Did Maggie eat a bad pickle?

The second half of the season has been very good, but this episode was by far the worst.

I thought the "Daryl cliffhanger" was poor.

The machine gun up Carol's sleeve-- it was like a Quintin Tarentino movie.

And this capture-break free-recapture stuff... It's like they were just trying to fill time before the arrival of Negan.

It has been messy but and I guess it boggles the mind of some that life in the post apocalyptic world might be that way.

Bold>I think that is a good analogy. Although Carol has an aversion to proactive killing, the writers have done a good job of inventing new ways for her to take out combatants. The innovation is very Tarentino-ish that gets her and the group out of really tight spots.

I like the Carol-character and Melissa McBride's acting.

Her character, even while breaking-down emotionally is still clear thinking about the ****-hole world it is.

Several of the others? The characters are more like you'd find on "Gilligan's Island".

Is it a cliffhanger? Daryl is dead, he was shot point blank.

Darryl's not dead. He was clearly shot in the shoulder area while turning around, and you can hear Dwight saying "you'll be all right" as the camera goes to black.

Darryl is much too important a character to go out like that. If/when he is killed, it will be by somebody like Negan. Not some two bit roaming savior. And it will be done in full view of the audience to take advantage of the shock value. Not some jump scare like last night.
