Whoa -- if the Titans gave up their pick #15, a #2 and a #3 for our 1st rounder to get Tunsil, I'd celebrate by turning cartwheels. THAT would constitute a wet dream come true.

If true, maybe Dallas is accumulating some ammo for a potential combo pick in the 1st round of Lynch and the highest remaining DE/DT player.
With Lynch being a QB, hard to gauge his movement on the draft board -- he could be a mid-1st rounder or slide to the end of the 1st round.

That is a scenario I would be very pleased with.

To me we need to come out of this draft with a QB with a realistic chance of being good.

After Lynch the odds lengthen considerably.

I think we should trade, but only for picks i next years draft. As we're not going to get a QB we'll need to accumulate high picks to allow us trade up to the top of next years draft.

It's important if Dallas wants either Bosa, Ramsey or Elliott at #4. At #15, we have no chance at either of them. We aren't trading down just because we can.

You can spin it anyway you want but the 4th pick isn't worth as much as the 2nd pick especially when the 2nd pick is a QB and the 4th pick would be a TB, CB or DE.

That is the whole point imo. There really isn't no "stud", superstar in the top 5, in this draft, Maybe Elliot, but do you really want to draft rb at 4? I can't remember which draft guy stated that the strength in this draft was the 2nd and 3rd rounds, and the drop off in talent from 15 to 55 is minimal.

IMHO, no draft-eligable player would have a bigger impact on the Dallas Cowboys than a stud RB.

Mel Kiper says Miami really wants Zeke and is looking at possibly trading up to #3.

In this scenario if we have 1, 2 2s and a 3rd I'll take

1. Lynch
2a. Karl Joseph
2b. Dodd or Billings or Butler or Clark in that order
3. BPA: likely DT/CB/WR
4. Howard Johnson or Dixon
BPA after that

I would hope we would reach out and trade our spot to them

Its a money vrs slot thing brought on by the rookie contracts under the collective bargaining ............The QBs can be worth the 25 mill, a top OLine is worth it, maybe Ramsey if viewed at CB.........but after that the somewhat pedestrian DE (bosa etc) are not, same with a RB............

For me it would depend on who we take at 15 if that trade does happen. If we (somehow) got Elliot, I'd consider that a huge win in our book because then we can concentrate on defense (DT/DE) with the next two picks.

no way Elliot is there at 15. book it. Miami will easily swipe them up at 13 if they dont move up to get him first as already talked about.

then we need to swap with San Diego

no, absolutely not...not trading up to SD...not saying this to you, but THAT would be ludicrous...if someone wants to jump to 4 to get Elliot, let them...then you have all of the cards in your hand "Yes, Tennessee, I know you want Tunsil, but Ramsey is our favorite player in the draft. For us to move on from him, you have to sweeten the pot"

"OK Dallas, you take Ramsey and we'll call Jacksonville" I think that's how this will go. Not crazy about the deal anyway. Want a stud at 4 and don't like falling all the way to 15. Not as many sure things in rounds 2-3.

I just hope we do better than when we traded back with the 49's. We supposedly had a deal with the Browns when Manziel was there and they tried to change it.

Yep, I'd do that in a heartbeat ... AND throw in Dexter Coakley.

I think the point is that SD takes Ramsey (leaving Tunsil). If Ramsey is there at 4 SD probably took Tunsil making this whole thing pointless.

If Tunsil is there at 4, pretty sure Dallas will be fielding many offers from many teams.
