lol @ a wall. As if that would have any shot in hell and doing anything. Seriously, think about that for a second. Does anyone truly believe that would do anything to stop anything? Anyone that thinks a wall would do anything at all. You need to SERIOUSLY question their intelligence.

Not to mention, the US couldn't afford to build one. Too smart for Warton, my ***.

The Vatican and White House tend to be fond of their walls. I bet their thinking is their walls are doing a bit better than "nothing" for them. We do agree on one thing... a proper wall would be VERY expensive. Good thing is... Mexico is paying for it. :yourock:

Well we're arguing two different things then. Must've misunderstood your first comment I replied to.

That said, you're kid of helping my point (though I don't think we ever really disagreed in the first place).

Gun education would not have helped this guy.

But if you're speaking about creating stricter gun laws, I'm not completely opposed. It would deter scores more people and only be a mild inconvenience for others.

I think any solution to this problem is only going to be a partially solution at best, and it would require "give" from all of us in one way or another.

Someone brought up Israel and how they police society... You want a model? There it is. It may not be palatable but nothing we are going to do in order to better control this problem is going to be cheap, easy or painless.

I don't know if that would work for the US.

But I agree. Any solution is only a partial one.

These folks didn't sneak into the US.

The incident last night was the result of a home-grown.

We're fooling ourselves with this type of political correctness. This guy was radicalized because of his religion. The same religion that his parents followed and taught him. The same religion and mosques where their "holy men" preach intolerance for all non-believers, homosexuals, etc. Their religion preaches Sharia Law which they would rather practice than assimilate to our culture, laws, ethics, etc. This guy may have been born here but this was in no way home grown.

He is a citizen and is protected under all of our present laws including privacy, due process and gun control.

How do you stop him legally before he guns down a bunch of people?

Once folks like his parents get here, you can't stop them. I'm sorry, but we need to reassess our immigration policy and think twice about allowing folks here from some of these counties. It's not the politically correct answer but it is the answer.

Sorry, but until you have something better to counter PEW research, step back. Argument fallacies like yours don't even get entertained.

Next.

Leadership of an organization you're saying is completely unbiased/factual and conveniently employing as their Corp. President the recent CEO/CFO of the largest defense contractor with the US doesn't sound a little strange? Not a huge grasp there Ben Stein. I get the point about methods/accuracy, etc. but bureaucracy exists in every organization for a reason.

Under our present laws... can't be done. But it's not the gun laws I would change.

Agreed.

It can't be done.

There would need to be "give" from a lot of areas in order to make it measurably better.

We'd all have to stomach some nasty tasting medicine.

The government failed the gay community in Orlando Fl. This guy was investigated twice for connections to ISIS terrorists. This homicidal ideology needs to be outlawed in this country so we don't have to wait for mass murders to do something to stop them.

I don't think the medicine would taste all that bad. I can prove I don't belong to a homicidal ideology, those that can't have a problem. I'm so sick of this BS. Please pardon my anger CZ. All my LGBT friends, fellow Americans, this attack is an attack on all of us. I just want to hug you all in solidarity and tell you as a straight man, we're not going to take this!

*sigh* they could have done A LOT more damage by saying the majority of the Muslim nation supports extremist actions. They didn't. Did you even read anything within the link?

And I will once again ask: Provide a counter source.

I don't think the LGTB community wants or would even be okay with what you're suggesting

I don't thing the LGBT community is okay with being slaughtered. How else are you going to stop this homicidal ideology?

certainly not, and I don't pretend to know the answer. however I would say a group that is often marginalized by the majority and singled out in legislation, isn't likely to believe the answer to their problems is to turn that treatment on another group.

My daughter was a sergeant in the army for a decade... I asked her what percentage of her comrades would she trust to be able to make smart decisions when it came time to judging the threat of a potential mass-shooter.

She laughed.

And these are trained soldiers.

Not all soldiers are the same, and certainly don't receive the same training. Please don't lump them all together in your generalization.

What was your daughters MOS? I'd be willing to bet the soldiers she was laughing about were not in an 11 series MOS or other combat arms MOS's. For instance, soldiers that work in laundry or food service? Yeah... They might be lucky to see the range once a year.

The problem the LBGT community has is being slaughter for exercising their freedom to openly be who they are just like any American. I'm not advocating the homicidal ideology be marginalized, I'm advocating they be eliminated. There is a difference. We are a war, not because we wish it but because it has been brought upon us. I invite all my gay Americans to fight this battle with me side by side. I've never been more proud that we now include the LGBT community in our military.
