We're 4th in waivers and not one claim? I get that there's not a whole bunch of talent out there, but not one?

And now I realize the 7 backs and Wilcox retention was actually intentional.

Alrighty then.

How dare you question the wisdom of this front office? Fan card. Hand it over.

I really dont understand what the hell they are trying to do. Why carry 4 RBs and 2 FBs and stay so thin at DE ?
Most of us assumed it was temporary as
they surely were going to try to strengthen a very weak position...

Man, I love this team but they bewilder me most of the time !
Two TEs on the PS. Two FBs on the 53.

We are running the read option, aren't we?
I said it before, I don't understand why they have both Smiths.

I know Andy Jones was doing good things in practice but he sucked in the games. I didn't see him do anything to keep him on the practice squad

Still not sure about him. Yes, big target and runs (I believe) decent routes. However, he's sort of plodding and not a good blocker in any way shape or form. Doesn't present the mismatches down the field because his speed is quite average. I just don't think he's a hard cover because there is nothing quick or fast about him.
When he's used, He can make plays. Everyone acts like he's the only Tight End in the league that doesn't block. He's an effective player but he's not taking Witten off the field

Now there is another little aftershock of players being cut for waiver additions:

Cincinnati - LB Paul Dawson
San Diego - CB Steve Williams
New York Giants - DT Montori Hughes

Probably not interested in any one of these either. Just too cool for school.

Cincy has a strong front 7. I wouldn't mind Dawson at all!!!

I still think the NFL should expand the roster to atleast 58 players and allow teams to activate more on game day. The fact teams carry essientially 10 free agent players on a practice squad seems crazy, but I guess its a considerable cost savings for the clubs which is why it hasnt been changed.

Agreed. Would allow Garrett to stash more FBs.
