Cowboys Waiver/Practice Squad Tracker: Players Claimed by Dallas

If the Cowboys can't get Showers or another QB on the practice squad, Sanchez is in for a lot of reps. Which isn't a bad thing, he'll need them.

Exactly, he's going to need reps and Dak needs reps. I can't really see how many reps Showers was going to get anyway.

Now there is another little aftershock of players being cut for waiver additions:

Cincinnati - LB Paul Dawson
San Diego - CB Steve Williams
New York Giants - DT Montori Hughes

Probably not interested in any one of these either. Just too cool for school.

Paul Dawson - IIRC @Floaty drafted in him in the 1st round of the Mel Kiper Invitational.

I am glad we have so many Internet GM's, Coaches, Scouts, Owners on here. Just think if you could have your way, all 53 players and the 10 PS players would be gone, and your all's dream team of cut home depot guys could field our team.

While I don't think anyone really has much faith in Sanchez, I really don't think he's worse than Weeden/Cassel. So in a way we've really upgraded because we've got Dak as a buffer between Romo and that level of play.

Ok, thought I would just throw this out there for you guys to engulf and devour.

Ben Gardner is available and he got 2 sacks and 10 tackles this preseason. Obviously, his shoulder is fully healed now. He's never played in a regular season game, but in his 5 preseason games he's notched 3 sacks and 13 tackles. I know no biggie, but Ryan Russell has like 2 sacks (from last year) and 16 tackles in his preseason games, and we just put him on the PS. No, I don't know how many pressures either have during preseason. Just sayin Gardner already knows the system and we are looking for guys that can actually finish and bring down the QB yes?

The crazy thing last year is that I was reading and hearing how he had bulked up and had been working harder and he looked pretty good. So I didn't understand why he was cut. I agree with ya
