As a Buckeyes/Cowboys fan, no one loves them some Zeke more than I do. However, in Columbus, Elliott had an irritating habit of giving the "feed me" spooning motion every other time he carried the ball. Never mind that he got "fed" enough to finish second all-time in rushing yards in Buckeyes history in less than 3 seasons. Urban Meyer ignored it, as he tends to do with his star players. Now, Elliott has taken his show to Dallas. Zeke, this is professional football, & you're a rookie. It is not your place to demand touches from the coaching staff. It is your place to take the carries they call for you, make the most of them, & shut up. So, please stop showing up your coaches & fellow RBs with your antics. You've carried the ball 94 times so far this season, more than any other back in the NFL--great backs who have earned their way in this league. Your backup ran for the second most yards in the NFL the four seasons leading up to this one. Show him & your coaches some respect & stop insisting you get every freaking carry on every play.
Maybe it's a generation thing. I can't stand it either.

Maybe it is youthful exuberance overall, but the "feed me" thing is not any less prevalent than the constant first down signals by other players.

Even Butler was getting into the act.

I am all for swagger. I just like it when there is a big play versus a routine nine yard reception.

That falls on the head coach to tone that down, or if he feels it works, allow it.

And if Urban would have only "fed him" against Michigan St they would have made the final 4!

Players with no sense decorum and no humility, before they choose to be clowns, should ask themselves: Is this something that the truly great, like the elder Manning, Jim Brown, Witten, Romo or Calvin Hill would do?
Of course not!
So be great on the field but do not show the world your lack of upbringing.

4 games into the season, already 2 threads dedicated to complaining about EE's "feed me gesture". Will we keep pace and reach 8 such threads by season's end?

The 1st thread was actually a combo, as it simultaneously complained about Morris Claiborne's "incomplete" gesture. So kudos to that OP.

Keep up the good work guys.

I'm old school on a lotta things but sports are supposed to be fun. This is far removed from taunting and I doubt it distracts anyone.

I seriously doubt Garrett views it as a "player demanding" anything. But again: too much of a good thing....

We're winning so we can't complain about the lack of performance, so I guess there has to be something else to complain about.

This is to psyche out the other team. A very polite "take that". I have zero problems with it and I'm older then dirt.

Why do you care so much? Just care if he's getting yards and TDs. All the showboating and cockiness means little in the grand scheme of things. Football is entertainment, despite what Goodell tries to tell us about the "No Fun League".

Did you like Miles Austin's first down sign every single time he got a first down?

When he stops balling I'll get annoyed but as long as he's getting 130+ yards a game he can do damn well what he pleases as long as it's not a penalty. I live in Columbus on campus so I'm a fan also, FWIW.

Get over it. I don't , necessarily like, but as long as we're winning, I don't give a shoot.

We should consider ourselves blessed if that is the only thing you have to complain about...

Have you ever given thought to going back to the Farmers Branch thing?

It was way more charming and had better resonance with this fan base.
