Add to that if he is healthy week 14 or 15 he wouldnt have played football in over a year.

If this comes to pass it boosts our 2017 chances way more then our 2016
I agree, playing last 5-7 games and having a off season will be way better than starting as a rookie next year

although not officially released, I believe it's a foregone conclusion Rolando's days in Dallas are over. I think there's financial implications of releasing him now and is why he hasn't been so yet

As much as I want to agree with you and you are probably 100 % correct, just daydream with me for a moment LOL. Ro comes back in shape, we get both Smith and Gregory back week 14 going into the playoffs. Ro has 6 games to get it right and Smith and Gregory have 2 games to get in "football" shape. Man we could be going into the playoffs LOADED on D.

ok alarm goes off and I awake from my slumber.

The dude doesn't want to play football. I enjoyed him while he was here but he apparently has better things going on in his life.

The only reason he's on the roster is because it saves the team money by not cutting him outright. They've already taken his locker down.

Until I hear that he isn't chugging robitussin anymore I wouldn't hold my breath. He is doing the same thing that killed Jamarcus Russell's career. Deep south is weird.

I know he's predicted this before, but I believe that was in August. That his opinion is consistent in mid-October is probably good (better than worse!). Had dinner with Jaylon Smith, discussed the knee, came away still thinking Week 14-15 return.

What's Brandt heard on Jaylon Smith's return from injury?
Barry Horn: Did Jaylon [Smith] give you any insight into his knee [when they had dinner together recently]?

Gil Brandt: He's feeling good. I think that he could come back later on this season, maybe the 13th-14th game of the season. Now he's doing everything. He tells me he's cutting on it and so forth.

It's amazing that Gil is still working. He is 83 years old.

Are there any "scouts" in the Hall of Fame?

Actually I dont think he would be trolling if he is not improving - that would be bad PR, not cool and Cowboys PR department would not like it either.
The knee has been said to be already recovered.
So there has be some functional recovery of some sort - knock on wood.

More unfounded speculation that people will take and run with.

If things were that promising, who thinks Jones is not talking about it?
So is this what you have left to be negative about during a four game win streak? A draft pick everyone assumed wouldn't play?

I was one of Rolando's biggest supporters, I believed in him and thought he would take advantage of this 2nd (or was it his 3rd) chance to realize his potential. He let me/us, his teammates and the Cowboys organization down. Huge disappointment.

I do like your dream and although a super long shot, it would be a nice twist to what's already been a season of pleasant surprises. I believe Smith will make it back this season and adding him to the core of this great, young unit of ballers (whom we can depend on) is an exciting proposition!

I think David Helman brought it up to him after last weeks tweet. He said everyone is hanging on to any update of his, so cryptic messages will only give false hope, and Jaylon said he agreed and said he shouldn't assume everyone knows what he's talking about, pretty much apologizing for it. The fact that he's tweeting again like this either means he's happy with progress (which should make us happy), or he's trolling, but that doesn't seem to be his character. On all accounts he's an awesome, sincere and friendly dude.
