I stopped posting this poll once the Cowboys announced Romo was going to be the backup. Since the Cowboys lost though, I thought it would be fun again to see where the board stands on the great Dak-vs-Romo debate.

Previous Polls:

This poll is not about tracking who is right or wrong later. It's about tracking the trend of which quarterback is preferred as games are played. Our votes have no weight on what happens, so this is just a fun poll to gauge where fans are at the moment with regards to who should start the next game. It will be perfectly fine to change your mind in future versions of this poll as well.

.... you have 24 hours to vote!

The Qb decision has been made. I would have made the swith to Romo as soon as he could play, today, Dak`s our guy. We should stick with him. (we´re 11-2 with him, too. Yesterdays L is not reason enough to change.

(sorry for my english)

Allowing Romo to play is only an exercise in allowing him to get hurt yet again and finally understanding our real backup QB is Mark. Do it before the season ends.

I don't think Romo should start, but I do believe that if Dak continues to struggle against Tampa then it might be time to bring Tony in to start the second half or come in after the second series in the 3rd quarter. We have the luxury of having the best backup in the NFL so why not take advantage of that.

Romo hasn't played a meaningful snap in over a year, we would not be getting 2014 Romo at this point it would probably take weeks to knock the rust off
I'm not for starting Romo vs Tampa, but everyone (and I mean 100% everyone) is saying he looks as sharp as has in years.

And when he runs the scout team they go at full speed a few series. Still not allowed to crunch him though.
He also looks physically very fit.

But he's the backup at this point. He's helping Dak all that he can and will be there if needed.

I'm a Romo fan. Love the guy. With that said, you can't pull Dak now. Let the guy at least try to bounce back. He deserves that. Teams have bad games! It's what happens from time to time in the NFL. You live and you learn. Did people REALLY expect a rookie QB to go 15-1??

Bring on the Bucs!!!!!!!

This team is going to the playoffs.

Tony is the best QB on the roster.

We should be starting him NOW and giving him a couple games to get back in sync with everyone and knock rust off for playoff time. By all means the more reps he can get before the playoffs, the better.

If Romo starts at all this season, it will probably mess up Dak mentally and he probably won't ever be the same player than he was during the win streak.

I do think that if Dak does struggle at all during the regular season, Romo should only come in for relief.

The only games I saw Dak struggle through most of the game were divisional foes and Minnesota. Romo would have probably struggled against those teams also.

The poll is back. Yea! :D

In my opinion, a good starter should not lose his job due to injury. Every player should be judged by performance. Romo should have been benched if he had been re-inserted as the starter and stunk it up, That situation did not happen because certain people--some fans, media, and even the front office--allowed themselves to get swept up in the euphoria of winning.

The front office decided to roll with Prescott. It was a huge decision. It was a long-term franchise level decision. Now, they and everyone else should learn to live with that decision. For better or worse. Don't undercut Prescott's development simply because he's confronting the usual rookie struggles. Seek consistency. Solidify the position. Don't mishandle it. Again.

Certainly, I disagree with the decision because I have always lived by the unwritten sports rule I mentioned earlier. A risk was taken. Risks always come with possible ramifications. And who knows? The risk may pay off sooner rather than later. We'll all see eventually.

If Romo starts it has to be for the rest of the season/playoffs. You can't go back and forth unless Tony gets hurt.

Honestly I don't see how a rusty Romo performance could be worse than what we saw from Dak last night. Just awful.
so the answer is even though for 10 games he looked league MVP. but the last (2) he has not so we focus on the last 2 and ignore the 10.

makes sense. not sure in which world, but makes sense to someone i suppose.

If we don't win HFA, then we are going to have a really tough time getting through the playoffs - Dak doesn't look like somebody who could win on the road against any cold weather team in January at this point.

We need to win next week, period. If Dak isn't getting it done, give Tony a chance, it's not just about the loss yesterday.....the passing game has been the weak link for the past 3 weeks & Dak appears to be understandably shaken.
