Seriously? Is this first hand info?Romo is destroying our defense in practice, so you know.
Dak isn't.

Another bad performance and loss and it needs to be seriously considered.
I'm reasonably sure some of the players have commented on it as well, but I don't have the quotes.I don't doubt that to be true but hearing it from jerry means nothing.
The playcalling has been horrible on multiple fronts. One, the playcalling has not adjusted when Dak has either been getting regularly pressured,or when there is regular blitzing or when the WR's aren't getting open. On key 3rd downs, even in short yardage, Zeke is inexplicable pulled out of the game. Again, on 3rd and short, deep pass plays are getting called, even when the run game is working. And this is just a short summary of the perplexing playcalling of the last two weeks.Every playcall can work if the QB makes the right decision and can put the ball on the receiver. When the QB can't do that, the run game gets stuffed.
Dak just can't execute what Linehan is calling because defensive coordinators have figured out how to defend Dak.
He'll figure it out, don't worry. But it won't be this year.
So roll with a guy for 14 games but make the switch to a gimp for the final stretch? A guy who can't take a normal NFL hit, hasn't taken a regular season snap in over a year and has started just a few of the last almost 2 seasons of games? Sounds like a winning strategy.
I really can't believe the ignorance of a lot of Cowboys fans. To ask to remove Dak because the team has a bad game is flat out STUPID. I like Romo but remind me of exactly what has he won since he's been the starter? Let me answer that for you...NOTHING. The problem with Cowboys fans is that most expect to win every week and that is totally not going to happen. People and teams have bad days, its a part of life so deal with it or change teams. If Dak is the QB of the future (I believe he is) then deal with the growing pains just like we dealt with those of Romo. Sadly, I see why sometimes people hate Cowboys fans because there are some that lack reason and education.
Not ALL on Red....my gosh, he has his marching orders from JJ. He's the man who signs the checks.
Did JG and Linehan throw Dak under the bus? When did this happen?Daks a smart cookie he doesn't by into the NFLs media rating garbage. He knows, hes not fragile n mentally unstable over it. He's going to be disappointed sure anyone would be. Sitting is not going to hurt him. How Garrett n Linehan have gone about sitting him does hurt there was no need to throw this kid under a bus just disgusting.

I don't think Tony has thrown a "costly interception" since 2012

That's all he said? And we're already up to nine pages in this thread? How many pages would a coughing fit net him? 25?Todd Archer reporting ..
On 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Tuesday, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said "you'll know it when you see it," when talking about a potential change from Dak Prescott to Tony Romo down the stretch but he did not have a definitive scenario in which a move would be made.

I think there is a 3rd option: Play Dak and allow him to lead us to the Super Bowl THIS YEAR!Yeah, I agree. But lets remember neither option assures nothing
the drama queen is strong in this one.Don't be naive it's not perplexing. In Garretts view it's the only way he can get Romo on the field now by throwing games and still save face but throwing his rookie QB under the bus.

Forget about a demotion. Just cut him. The logic of saying you can't sneeze on Romo because he'll break something and (in the same breath) say he should backup ANY starter in the NFL is completely illogical, makes zero sense, and should make anyone ashamed to suggest it. Of course, no one has said the sneeze/break something analogy on the site (that I'm aware of) but similar inferences have been posted on the site countless times--which makes it that much worse. If that describes Romo, he shouldn't even be on the team. You can't rely on someone like that to be the back-up, never mind the starter . You should be calling for him to be cut or demoted to fourth string behind But Fumble and Showers.
By your own logic, he will have his poise and his physical ability in the playoffs because he will have the best supporting cast on offense in the playoffs. Not well, no.
He's just not ready. His poise and physical ability is working because he has the best supporting cast on offense in the NFL. But he's still playing like he did in college for the most part.
He needs time to learn. Just like Romo did, Rodgers, Brady, etc. He'll be elite one day, I believe. But that's 3-4 years away at least. He's totally lost right now because the league has figured him and this offense out. It needs Romo at the line of scrimmage to beat these fronts.
