You're giving them the benefit that they are being fair and unbiased. I'm not.

Shannon just listed all these corners that he needs to see Dez beat but left Xavier Rhodes and Josh Norman off his list.

Oh they are definitely putting some negative based info in there for effect......like the 'she could run a comeback better than him'.

That doesn't make every single thing they said incorrect though.

I like how we're having an epic season and the ball is being spread around and dez finally had a coming out party and now the media decides to light him on fire a bit. What more could you want ?

Agree.. So you have to decipher for yourself what is real and what is not but Joe Schmoe fan who watches 20 minutes of a Cowboy game if that is going to repeat the BS they say.

The reality is we have a Rookie QB and we throw the ball 10% less than the entire NFL.

If Romo was QB'ing i'm sure his number would be way up and Beasleys would be down.

I don't watch that show cause its usually stupid, I can't stand stupid. I wouldn't have seen it all if it wasn't posted here. When Joe Schmoe says something stupid, I just laugh and walk away. The biggest effect on Dez is a rookie QB, but they are showing signs of getting better with each other.

If we were 2-13 and dez had the stats he had I would be asking questions. Since we're 13-2 I fail to see how dezs stats matter at all. They're stats. This is a team game. The offense functions.

It's fantasy footballs fault.

Too bad Emmitt didn't get to benefit from being on people that aren't Cowboys fans fantasy team.

There are people that actually think David Johnson had a better year than Zeke because he scored a few more fantasy points.

He's elite at scoring TD's. When healthy he's usually better than everyone and he has gotten off to one of the best starts in NFL history at scoring TD's.

Jason Garrett offenses have always had guys like TO, Miles, and now Dez disappear for periods of time. Our offensive philosophy is to let the defense dictate what we do.

So if you want to say AJ, or Julio is better then that is fine. Both guys are just as injury prone if not more. IMO there isn't a real difference with any of them but I will say Dez Bryant has been unconsciously good at times in an offense that doesn't go out of it's way to get him the football like their offenses do.

Good post. And it's a bit disingenuous take by These guys. Dez isn't even in the top 100 in drops. Whereas the other elite receivers have a higher number of targets and drops. On top of that only 5 players have more TDs and all of them have well over 100 targets.

Dez isn't the focal point of this offense, however once in the scoring area, you better believe the team is looking to him, and so are defenses.

Groucho's opinion means less than nothing to me. I doubt it means anything to anyone on the team either.

Some of his criticism was fair I think. I thought it was an interesting stat when he said out of receivers targeted more than 90 times Dez had the worst catch percentage at something around 50% which is horrible tbh

Targets is the most BS stat ever.

Again... They are ranting about his stats.

We don't have Tony Romo throwing 42 passes a game to boost his stats.

We barely target the guy.
We don't have Tony throwing him the ball PERIOD. How you think Dez became known for who he is today? He wasn't thowing the ball to himself.

Dez is a glorified possession receiver, he's not an elite receiver and there is nothing that Chris Carter stated that wasn't true about Dez!

Nothing against Dez but I think the Dallas offense is a lot more dynamic and consistent when they distribute the football to many receivers/tightend/backs instead of trying to force it to Dez 14 times a game...
Being a possession receiver isn't a bad thing, Irvin was not as fast as Dez but his route running and hands were second to none. As far as his numbers some of that is on Dak as well, Dez was wide open in the season opener that would've resulted in a W but Dak didn't see him. You can also go back to the Skins game where Dez completely shook Norman, and if Dak sees him that's another walk in TD.

CC has been a hater for years and is a complete idiot. If he wasn't good at football, he'd probably be digging ditches or in a ponzi scheme scamming people out of money.

I knew some guys in a Venture Capital fund here in LA that Carter put money into about 15 years ago. They said he was the classic "dumb money" that knew nothing but was convinced he did. And that was from guys that needed to get along with him.

Also FWIW, I also knew several people that were involved in real estate deals with Keyshawn Johnson that said he was a very sharp guy. Not what I would have guessed, but they all said the same thing.

First off I wasn't making note of any particular game,..... it was just an arbitrary number I threw out...not only this year but years past when Romo was even the starting Qb, it's just a fact watching games on offense with this team, when they distribute the Football, the offense is dynamic and explosive, when they force the ball to one player time and time again, it's not.....it's that simple.....
This team never really forced the ball to any receiver for the last decade.

What team have you been watching?

2 weeks ago their was talk about Dez been elite and a lot of guys said no. I think he is but our Offense is not built on passing 80% of the time ala Atl, Det, NO, GB. I imagine Dak would have close to 5000 yards if we passed more and Dez, Witten and maybe Beasley all would be at 1k yards.

Who cares if he's elite or not. I want a SB then we are all elite.

Bottom line....win a SB and you are in the discussion. Win 2 or more and you get to write the narrative. I guarantee that once they get the SB under their belt, more of the individual awards will follow without question. Win 2 or more they will get them with the benefit of doubt even when it's questionable. The Cowboys top players control their destiny. It's time for them to step up, get the Cowboy curse that's been lingering for the past 22 years of their back and go make history.
