Some here are determined to make themselves miserable convincing themselves that another officiating call cost us another playoff game. Notice how the Dez no catch that's been beaten like a dead horse for 2 years is being brought up again? It's just another way to add to the misery that some are putting themselves through, that the officials and the league are costing us playoff games and championships. Some of what's been posted on this topic is absolutely ludicrous.

It's not the Cowboys and their defense that are costing us these games, it's a the league and Blandino conspiring against us. LOL Instead of some of you torturing yourselves believing there's a conspiracy against the Cowboys and that games are fixed, I suggest giving up watching the sport because I don't know how some of you can go on enjoying the game if you believe some of the crap that's spewed on this board. You don't hear any of this stuff in the media, it's all in the heads of FANS.
I think your missing the point...this isn't about poor officiating at all...all of this *****ing about blandino is done just to irritate you. you fall for it EVERY TIME!

Your continual defense of this inept clown is truly dumbfounding. Spare us the "they never get any respect from the fans" bit because nobody forced them into their jobs, and they get paid quite well for doing it (no matter the level of ineptness). If they want respect, then they (Blandino, in particular) should do their damn job in a manner that would warrant it. Otherwise, they should get out of the way and let someone who is qualified and has at least some level of integrity come in in their place.

Tell me is there anyone who's ever held Blandino's job that didn't look like an inept clown to you? Has there ever been anyone who's held his position that's gotten respect form fans?

This is about a bad call and it's just something else for FANS like you to blame another playoff loss on and tear into Blandino and the league. The only thing irritating to me is all the excuses everyone is making over why we lost to the Packers again in the playoffs and none of the excuses have to do with our defense. According to the FANS here it's the officiating and Blandino that's costing us playoff games and trips to the SB. lol

The only thing that would gain him and the officials respect from FANS like you is for every call to go our way. Our D gets SHREDDED and gives up the biggest play the Packers made the entire game in the final 12 seconds, putting them in FG range and one call that went against us in the first quarter gets blamed for costing us the game.

You won't find many if any elimination/playoff losses the Cowboys have suffered the past decade where FANS didn't use the officiating as an excuse. No matter how we play as a team or how the defense performs, some have an agenda to point the finger at the officiating. If there's not one call that stands out, they'll point the finger at the number of calls that went against us or the lack of calls on the other team. It's all part of trying to make it appear there's a conspiracy against the Cowboys. Go dig up all the playoff/elimination game losses we've discussed on this board since 06 and see if don't find some pointing the finger at the officiating. Threads are started prior to these games concerned about the officials as if FANS are preparing to make excuses if we lose.

I never once complained about anyone that preceded him.

I never once said that the Butler call cost Dallas that game. The official that made the call was overzealous, IMO. Kinda funny how no other official has ever flagged that, though.

Same game.

Was just going to post this that happened on literally their next possession...which would would have been half the distance instead of basically a 40 yard penalty or whatever it was that assuredly wiped out points and momentum
Ripkoswki ran the ball on the previous play, so he was already in the game. Not a penalty unless he had come out of the game, then ran back onto the field and been part of the huddle before leaving again. The penalty only applies to substitutes, IOW.

The big problem with Corrente's call is that he's apparently the only one who's ever called it.

FANS like me never expect or want every call to go my way. In fact, I just want credible, fair officiating. FANS like you, on the other hand, only care about the officials (and blandino, in particular, for some strange reason) no matter how inept or unqualified they happen to be. Blandino, particularly, falls into that category. He is not qualified for his position and, even worse, lacks integrity. The league would be so much better off if he were fired, but that ain't happening under Goodell. And for the record, the officiating did not cost us the most recent game against GB, IMO. Two years ago...very possibly a different story. Blandino injected his unqualified self where he shouldn't have. But he had to find a way to demonstrate to the world after being caught on JJ's party bus and the non PI call in the Detroit PO game that he wasn't biased for Dallas. His integrity (or lack, thereof) really came through in that game. That guy shouldn't be trusted any further than he can be thrown.

That's because we never had a controversial call go against us in a playoff game. We have one call go against us in playoff game 2 years ago that was CONFIRMED by the league to be the correct call and all of a sudden Blandino becomes a clown in your eyes. Now we have the Butlrer call in which Blandino had nothing to do with but you're putting the blame on him.

said that its only been called twice.
Ever? I was wondering why the NFL didn't just release a list of all the different times it's been called by all the different officials over the last five years or whatever.

If true that it's only ever been called twice, that's every bit as egregious as the Dez call.

Then why don't you let it go and move on? The official made a mistake and mistakes have always been part of officiating. We had a call go in our favor against Detroit in the playoffs 2 years ago and had that flag not been picked up on the PI call, we wouldn't have won that game. That flag that was picked up should have proven to some of the lamebrains here that there's no conspiracy against the Cowboys and that officiating crews aren't getting paid off to make calls against us.

I guess you don't recall the Benny Barnes phantom PI call in the SB against Pitt. I said it was a terrible call then and now, but **** happens. I did not question the integrity of any official EVER before Blandino came along.
You're so full of it...you're making stuff up. Where have I blamed Blandino for the Butler call? I said the official that made the call was overzealous. Blandino was not mentioned. But now that YOU mention it, Blandino is responsible for the quality of officiating on the field, so if the shoe fits....

Just because an officiating mistake has been made doesn't mean the officiating isn't fair. Making a bad call wasn't the intent, it was a MISTAKE! The only way mistakes like that can be corrected is for them to be challengeable, so they can be looked at by the game officials and someone in the booth. Not every official sees everything. Stop saying Blandinio isn't qualified when he's spent 20 years working his way up to earn the position he is. Everything I've read on Blandino, says he's fully qualified to hold the position he has, so who do we suppose to believe a FAN like you that he isn't? You think Goodell and everyone else who holds a high position in the league is a joke. What credentials do you have sitting behind your computer to make claims about who isn't qualified to hold the NFL jobs they have? I guess you could do a better job? lol

Why don't you let it go and move on? You jump into every official-related thread that has ever been bstarted here. Simply sta out of the fray if it bothers you.
Also for the record, I have never said (nor do I believe) there is a conspiracy against Dallas. I do, however , question the integrityt of dean Blandino. All NFL officials will be viewed in a less than stellar light as long as Blandino is the VP of Officiating, as far as many fans are concerned. Nothing you spin will change that.

When you, as VP of Officiating have never been an on-field official, you are not qualified to be in that position, IMO. He can play all the video games he wants, but that doesn't make him qualified for that position. It's really that simple. But then, I guess I'm supposed to go with a Joe schmoe FAN like you. Where are your credentials? Either identify yourself as dean Blandino himself, or quit acting like you're any more qualified to have an opinion than me (or anyone else on his site). Your arrogance knows no bounds.

Everyone remembers the phantom PI call on Barnes in the SB and the league admitted it was a bad call, resulting in the incidental contact rule a few months later. If you're not blaming Blandino for the Butler call then why do you keep bashing him saying he's a clown who isn't qualified to hold the position he has? I don't make anything up, once the league announced the Butler call was a bad call you went right back to bashing Blandino. Blandino is responsible for the officials and he has to take the heat when they make mistakes, which is why the position he holds is a thankless job and he's in a no win situation with the fans.

If you're referring to the Dez call that wasn't incorrectly overturned. Let it go!
