If the Broncos want Romo

I don't see where they're currently in "bad shape cap-wise".

They could acquire Romo's $14 million salary and still be $9 million under with no adjustments or restructures.
Not as bad as I thought! Terrible at the QB position, with 33 mil in cap space tied up there.
In any case, Houston seems overall like the best fit for so many reasons..

I'm sure Tony feels the same way.

Good thing about the Osweiler deal is they seem to be off the hook after this season with minimal damage.

I don't have a trade chart in front of me either.

But I know I'd rather have an extra 3rd round pick than move up 8 spots in this deep draft.
Depends on who is available. Eight spots in the first could be very beneficial. Besides, it's better than just cutting him. Honestly, I don't think Elway would drop eight spots for Romo. Too many questions with his age, health and him not playing in two years.

Our 28th pick is 640 points, the 20th is 850. A 210 point difference is the 18th pick in the 7th round.

This was from a chart from Walters Football Site I printed last year.

At pick 20 they should be able to get one of the following: John Ross, Marlon Humphrey, Sidney Jones, Tak McKinley, Taco Charlton, or Charles Harris. At pick 28 most of them will be gone.
All those won't be gone. Some will last. They always do. There is no need to trade up in this draft. Far too many good players to be giving away picks or value in Romo.

I'll be glad when Romo is gone; I'm tired of all the Romo talk.

Jerry will do what he will do and that will be the end of it. Good luck Tony, wherever you go!

And that in itself will start 1 million threads of what a great deal, or how we got screwed or didn't get enough, got too much. Got nothing at all, so Jerry is stupid, cap hits, cap savings, ruing when he beats us or his team wins, or glee when his team loses.

Need a Romo Zone when this happens, even if temporary.

If the Broncos want Romo, the Cowboys need to have him redo his contract and trade pick 28 and Romo to Denver for pick 20. I can't see them releasing Romo when they can do this and how in the world is Houston not trying to get Romo? The Cowboys trading Romo to Denver seems to make sense and is the best fit for Romo.
That would be a trade better made during the draft, if someone we love is there at 18 or 19 make the call, and start and start talking, imo.

That is actually great idea!

I love Tony but right now, here at the Zone, I wish he was already gone. He really is a non-story because of Jerry. Tony's fate is in Jerry's hands.

But they are in prwtty bad shape cap-wise in Houston and already have a ton tied up finacially in the QB position. Denver does have cap room but also have two young QBs who theyd probably preger didnt burn their rookie cobtracts rotting on tne bench.

Did Elmer Fudd get a hold of your keyboard?

that its the best case that could happen, so come on, don't expect to get much for romo, we need to get rid their contract and move on, and with 20 pick we have more better opportunities to select a good player
Im buy this

No matter what happens, it will never end. But at some point in the distant future, the volume may come down a notch or two.

This can't be right Jazz. Any pick in the 7th round can't hold a value of 210 points. Are you sure about that chart?

Just a side note: I find it interesting that Jacksonville hasn't yet taken out the 5th year option for Bortles.
