I don't know why people take this so seriously.

Who exactly is a "reputable source"?

If you have half a brain, you look at the report, examine the rest of the evidence and then arrive to an educated decision to believe it or not.

Do we really and honestly think that anyone has the real "scoop"?

Some are better than others, but when the competition for clicks and traffic is what it is right now, you have to understand the landscape.

There are but a few that I explicitly trust.

If Jay Glazer says it, that is a truth.

The rest you have to filter. Some more than others.

Rapoport, requires more filter. Schefter used to be more reliable but even he is feeling the pressure to be more relevant than anyone else.

But I guess that extra effort is too hard. If we had to wait for facts, there would be no speculation and things would be pretty boring.

It is not that serious. It is just fodder for discussion.
Simply put, there are no "reputable sources." I believe it only when it actually happens.

One other thing I should have mentioned (I was too excited) is the supply has dwindled. The Patriots aren't trading Garoppolo. The Bengals aren't moving McCarron unless they get overwhelmed with an offer and nobody's going to do that with such an unproven player. Wentz ain't going anywhere. Prescott can't play.

Romo is the crown jewel of this FA period. This kind of player is rarely ever on the market. He's an elite player at the most important position in sports and if you're a gambler you may have him for 3 years. Giving any team a window to win a Championship. These GMs and head coaches around the league are fighting for their jobs on a yearly basis. Romo is a franchise altering player for any team who lacks a big time QB. Imagine the Texans this past season but with Tony Romo for 16 games. They are an instant contender.

Hold off on all your mocks until this complicated deal gets done. I just hope our cap situation can handle our rookie pool this year.

I gotta start scouting the top 10 players in this year’s draft now. I just don’t know who I’d rather have… Solomon Thomas or Jonathan Allen?

Maybe a slight trade back and take Malik Hooker and Reuben Foster then take Harris with our pick at 28.

Decisions, decisions…

This guy gets it.

I hope he goes to Washington. They will be depending on him to take them to the playoffs. He then gets hurt, ruining their hopes.

He wasn't getting hurt because of his physique lol.

And coaches and players trying to hurt a player that will beat them doesn't sound classless. Sounds like the NFL to me.
O.k. then we differ on our views concerning style and class ,so you think when tony took the collar bone break pancake smash in game (#2?) of 2015 was a pure class tackle the N.F.L. strives to instill?,,, it was a low born gutter style vindictive smash employed to insure maximum punishment.

Cousins is younger and just as good as Romo. They missed the playoffs last year. I think the Cowboys would have to take a deal where they get the 1st. Romo isn't leading Washington any where.
How is he just as good?

No way this happens. I doubt it's even being discussed. Yet you know there will be people on this board that consider this a done deal. When this doesn't happen, people will complain about how Jerry is an idiot for not taking this deal that never existed.

Do you really think that NFL Network would announce this if it was absolutely bogus?

Tony Romo to the Texans? There’s growing sentiment within the NFL it could happen.

By Mark Maske March 3 at 1:52 PM
Texans, Broncos are the only teams that add up as Tony Romo contenders]

The Texans signed quarterback Brock Osweiler to an $18 million-per-season deal in free agency last offseason. Osweiler struggled and was benched in favor of Tom Savage late in the season but regained the starting job when Savage suffered a concussion. The Texans beat the Oakland Raiders in a first-round playoff game but lost at New England in an AFC semifinal.

Houston has a powerful defense that will again have J.J. Watt after he was injured and missed much of this past season. The Texans also have a proficient offensive line and running game and might regard themselves as a viable Super Bowl contender if they can add Romo and he can stay healthy and in the lineup.

The Broncos likewise can offer Romo a high-powered defense as a complement, and they are only one season removed from winning a Super Bowl title in quarterback Peyton Manning’s final season. Denver has bigger questions about its offensive line and running game. John Elway, the Hall of Fame quarterback who is the Broncos’ chief roster architect, also must balance any desire to develop young quarterbacks Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch with a possible urge to take a win-now approach with Romo.

Other possibilities for Romo might include the Kansas City Chiefs if they’re willing to unseat Alex Smith as their starter, which they say they aren’t, or the Buffalo Bills if they part with Tyrod Taylor.

Sorry - Rapaport, Schefter, and the likes are NOT reputable sources.

I would also prefer if Romo ends up outside our division...
I would like to have the 2nd pick in the draft and watch Romo play against the Cowboys twice a year. It would be awesome.

So, how would that make you feel?

Would you be all sort of excited to see Romo do well? Would you wish him the best?
