Update on the Romo front

Not that most ever thought it was gonna happen anyway, but this almost completely puts to rest the Tony for backup talk.

Anyway, with all these historians here maybe someone can answer this;
Has there ever been a QB that has had the success (individual if you prefer) that Romo has had as a starter over a long time, then take a full time backup role?

Would he be the first?

Honest question.

would much prefer some mini-bidding war that includes Jax...perhaps they push their bid to their 2nd round pick (Houston won't give up their first, I wouldn't think)

Houston and Denver already lost their 2nd round picks....part of the reason they are hell bent on not losing any more picks.

Surprised we haven't heard from the Ottawa Roughriders yet:flagwave:

Houston and Denver want something for nothing.

Most if not all of the owners want that Vinnie...lol. Including Jerry Jones. That is why Dallas takes so many chances on highly drafted players after they are released...sign them to a team friendly deal and if they live up to draft potential you got something for nothing. If they don't, you didn't give up much so no big deal if you release them as well.

Jerry is just trying to shark up some competition. Tony is still holding all the cards. He can wait Jerry out, l hope he does, and wait until he is released and make a deal for himself...if there is any serious interest.
