Fair warning, I'm a spoiler so I hope you get episode 8 watched soon. I feel like talking more about it.
Me too, I haven't come in here and read anything in the last week because I'm behind (son just started summer) and I don't want to know anything!! :)

Gale would be awesome, and he's (David Costabile is his real name) doing great on Billions on Showtime.

I always inferred that he and Gus's relationship was fairly new when Walter got involved, but I may be wrong.

And he makes the worlds best coffee with meth-making Pyrex :)
Didn't Gus sponsor Gale's scholarship...... that is how he explained his fingerprints at the crime scene

Crazy 8 getting tuned up by Nacho was interesting........ Hector baited him into it

Would love to see how Saul/Jimmy met the Vacuum Cleaner played by the great Robert Forster

You know, B, you may be right. Was it ever proven or spoken of outside of that seen that he did sponsor Gale, or was he just thinking fast to the DEA?

Absolutely.

It was the absolute final piece to the complete transformation into the bad guy he'd become. In finally admitting what was painfully obvious for quite some time Walt did some what bring back a small part of the once good man he'd been.

Obviously he started out with the best of intentions. To make a lot of money to keep his money out of the debt that his cancer was going to create for them. But it became very clear, and not terribly far into the process, that it quickly that it was about far more then doing something for his family's financial future. The moment in the parking lot when the small timers are trying to deal in his area he makes it clear that it's about more then just making money for his family.

And that's before the dozens of times (At least it seems like there were at least that many) that he could have gotten out of the business, entirely, and completely free of any trouble and just kept choosing not to.

You ever see a guy so disappointed In hearing that his cancer (was in remission or was reacting meds in positive way) ....

By the time we were introduced to Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad, Jimmy had transformed quite a bit from the man we saw in season 1 of BCS. Now with season 3 rounding the bend to it's conclusion, we are seeing how that season 1 "Jimmy" became Breaking Bad's Saul. He still has a little ways to go though. Something still needs to happen to send him over the edge to the point of no return of James McGill. His malpractice insurance rates going up 150% is a good motivator to never be Jimmy, but still something happens to cleanly connect the world of Breaking Bad's Saul to Jimmy. What happens to Kim? She disappears from Saul Goodman's world and let's not forget Saul has a guy(Ed) that helps people disappear by relocating them and giving them new identities. Maybe Kim had a need to disappear, but what? Anyway, Francesca and Huell are now in the picture so Saul's people are coming together. We still haven't seen former Boston police officer Patrick Kuby who eventually becomes another of Saul's henchmen. And when did Saul Goodman become Gene, the balding Cinnabon manager?[/QUOTE]

I always thought that was a glimpse at his life post Breaking Bad.

Cinnabon is post-BB. He hooked up with the guy in the van that can change your identity, SSN, hide you (he got Heisenberg into the Vermont (?) mountains), etc...

Just saw this week's episode of BCS. Fantastic stuff, was so convinced Salamanca was gonna catch Nacho in the act!

Kim is a BOSS! She's destined for bigger things, I'm convinced that's how she and Jimmy split.

Gus and Mike have formed a bond :)

What is HHM about to go through? Charles has a malpractice lawsuit going on against him and his firm, and next week's trailer looked like that may be a central story, with Jimmy smack-dab in the middle!

What a fantastic season. :)

Now on to Fargos new episode...

Since when can you use a metal detector to find arrowheads that are made of flint? Chuck seems to be trying to expedite a doctor documented recovery from his "illness". Good to see Saul's use of the back massager in Breaking Bad explained... and now he is a stuntman too. Nacho smooth with the pill switch. The reveal of how Mike and Gus got in business together was interesting.
Thank God I didn't read this post before I watched the episode, Star! :D

Yeah, that arrowhead explanation threw me off, too. If you can do that, I may have found a new hobby! :)

Oh yes... Ed the vacuum cleaner guy... he makes people disappear and gives them new identities... Is it just a coincidence that we have a Better Call Saul character(Kim Wexler) that is nowhere to be found in the Breaking Bad universe? Maybe Ed made her disappear.

Yeah, those were my live stream of thought notes from my first viewing of episode 8. Kim is making some real money now, trying to payoff her debts, even suggested to Jimmy she could float them for a while if Jimmy need to rest and heal from his fall. I can't wait to see Hector stroke out... I hate the mean old fart.

Thanks for the explanation on where Cinnabon fits in the timeline. Gene is the name Saul is given by Ed in Breaking Bad... gotcha,

Maybe that's where BCS season 4 picks up.

He did try to shake Jesse awake which nudged her enough so she rolled on her back, resulting in her choking on her own vomit. I don't know what amount of responsibility that leads to, but he did play a part in her death.
Did they intentionally try to make Jessie look like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction? They look alike to me, and both hot.ha

My theory is something happens with those Mesa Verde people, can't imagine what though and she disappears.
