Wow, man. The gloves are friggin off. If anything, this will be "fun"

Too bad it's at the expense of our franchise. I'm seated and buckled in, tho.

**** Goodell. Woot

This is a handicap wrestling match, Elliott and the NFLPA v the NFL.

Wait. What! That's Jerry, Jerry Jones! And he is headed to the ring! And he has a STEEL CHAIR!

It isn't. I hate the "stick to sports" narrative, because social issues should always be confronted and we should always be appreciative when people use platforms in an appropriate manner to improve the lives of others, as sports have always been able to bring people together -- but:

Roger Goodell has made the NFL about him and his disciplinary tour, not about football. It's not fun anymore.

If I were the NFL Commissioner, I would appropriately handle cases upon receiving all information from law enforcement. If, as in this case, the NFL "disagrees" with law enforcement, I wouldn't make it a crusade to center the public opinion and media on myself, but on the cause. Why are they suspending a player with questionable evidence? Why not hold a workshop for domestic violence victims, donate money to the alleged victim, offer to pay her trauma treatment bills if she needs counseling or therapy because of the ordeal, donate large sums of money to domestic violence clinics and prevention programs, etc. etc. etc.

I think that's my biggest problem with it - they're just performing lip service. Even if Zeke is a dirty woman abuser, suspending him for 6 games isn't doing ****. What about the real cause? The NFL is full of crap, and its showing in spades in this case.

Spot on. All the NFL cares about here is giving the impression they care about domestic violence. Do enough to keep the sponsors happy, butts generally in seats and to give the perception that the big, bad man got punished. (Of course, when the big, bad man was a white guy...he went virtually unpunished. "Nothing to see here!" the league said. But that's a different issue.)

If they cared about domestic violence -- truly cared -- and they believe Zeke did this thing, he's not back on the field just as the leaves start falling off trees.

Incidentally, if he did these things, he belongs in jail. But wait, the cops didn't find the woman's testimony to be credible, so he's a free man.

Derp. He's not entirely a free man. Because the NFL believes her.

Seriously. What the ***.

You sir, Mr. Pelissero...are a mount pile of feces.

You should also thank your lucky stars that it wasn't somebody like myself that you have tried to railroad. Scorched earth would look like a lush, beautiful prairie compared to what I would do to Thompson, Goodell, Harvey, the Columbus DA, yourself and everybody else that is willfully ignorant helped perpetuate this lie

Huh?
