I have never had a preset vision for CZ beyond making it a great and friendly place to discuss the Cowboys. I have always been open to supporting other non-Cowboys discussions, even going so far as to create new forums based on user suggestions. However, every single time I have done that I have ended up closing them eventually due to lack of posts.

And for the record, the site has always had a good community here, even before it was called CowboysZone when we only had 50 active members. The main reason most users come to the site is for Cowboys news and/or Cowboys discussions. They tend to check out of the other forums while waiting for more news and posts in the Cowboys forums, which is why we have always had the Off-topic Zone.

Hey,bro! Just spitballing but on those 'likes' issue maybe a revamped restructuring with a 'rank' system similar to the military only football themed like ' all pro' 'pro bowler' or championship rings / diamonds icons in the posters avatar banner as in giving credit all ready earned( however they earned it) and go from there? With a new starting line/ kick-off point on the well deserved recognition the quality posts deserve? Or maybe just two color coded columns of whatever,,,,, I started out thinking about

Most of the forums I spent years posting on and many of them I still visit often were initially focused on one topic, but over time, friendships formed and the main topic faded for various reasons, so the other forums are where many users have migrated.

As much traffic and posts as this site gets, the biggest problem CZ has had over the years is that not enough people know about it. I am working on a plan to help improve that area though
