I just find it laughable that all the Dak guys who bashed Romo in opposition to Garrett, including his playbook and lack of slants and crossing routes, and every other situation possible are now blaming Dak's bad games with those same things..

JG loves to reflect blame off himself. He's a master at that. Tired of this process. Rookie coach had his team ready to roll.

Here's the actual quote.

"When they play that style of defense, you have to be able to consistently attack with the passing game,” Garrett said, via the Dallas Morning News. “At different times today, I thought we were able to do that, and at other times we weren’t. We didn’t make the plays, for whatever reason. We really needed to have [consistent] success throwing the ball. We were not able to do that.”

If you think that is throwing a player under a bus then I really can't help you
There was absolutely nothing said in that article that throws Dak under the bus.

But nobody cares! They will be talking about the misleading headline for the next 6 days.

People are stupid!

I'm guessing it depends on whether one likes the player or not. I'm pretty sure those that don't like Dez were more than willing to believe Hill (was it him or Watkins, too lazy right now to check) take on Dez, but call his credibility into question when he says something about Dak or Garrett, or whatever.

Hasn't Hill been a Garrett supporter...

I do think Wade Phillips probably knows the Garrett/Linehan offense better than almost anyone.

The game plan really sucked on offense, ran the ball nine times? And run the ball with a full back when they are crowding the line of scrimmage.

there is a reason he was lasted until the fourth round to be drafted

I think he changes to many plays at the line

is unaccurate on his throws over 20 yards

Prescott admitted post game that he knows he has to play better. Prescott is a stand up kid. I think he battled again tonight. That's a tough place to play when NOTHING is working. I think he will have some good games coming up...pretty certain of it..all the clowns peddling him out of town already are totally laughable.
There really isn't a player or coach who can stand there this morning and say they had a good day yesterday. There's room for a lot of improvement all the way around.

JG needs to point the finger at himself and the coaching staff first. That was a terrible game plan...just because the run struggles early is no reason to get away from it, you pound the rock early to hopefully have a greater success later in the game...JG IS NOT NFL head coach material...this team has talent on the field, but not great coaching talent...

It doesn't take 6-7 years to build a winner.

Because we are not imagitive with anything. We never are. Someone has to get hurt to play on offense. Dez is done. Nothing more then a jump ball WR.
He is done in this offense, he should be running more slants like Irvin did, I can not figure out why he isn't.

Despite being a cheater, Bellichek has the longest successful tenure as a HC in the modern game, because he never remains stagnant and adjusts his game plan in light of the changes. His right hand man Adams and him are always learning.

We have the second longest tenure of a coach only because he's the golden child of Jerry Jones. A guy who has shown no ability to innovate or give any sense of direction. Jones has never had problems with firing people who can't get the job done unless it comes to this guy and his family in general.

I could even tolerate a Linehan experiment if it means getting rid of this guy.

JG has zero clue how to be a leader.

The sort of thing a leader does is tell them that your game plan was garbage (regardless of whether or not it was). You can say execution has to improve, but you don't single out any aspect of the game that points at a player, especially your QB. You protect that QB and act like he's above reproach, even when he isn't.

After the Cowboys first loss of the season, head coach Jason Garrett placed the blame squarely the passing game.

There were more than a few things that could be pointed to as reasons why the Cowboys were not victorious. Garrett took aim at Prescott.

Jason Garrett put the blame squarely on Dak Prescott's inability to make plays in the passing game

It has been noted on several occasions Prescott is cautious with the ball, often preferring to take the safe option over making a risky throw down the field. However, the approach helped Prescott to a stellar rookie season and Pro Bowl nod last year. And, Dallas was 13-3 during the regular season in games he started.

This is my biggest problem with Garrett, he never takes blame. Dak owned up like a man! Red has never done that, he is to much of a pompous and arrogant individual. I have seen it first hand, up close and personal, when he was a coordinator. I was hoping he would change when he became a head coach and it has not. It is ALWAYS the head coaches fault! Whether it really is or isn't doesn't matter. You take the bullet for your players and staff in public and rip the ever living crap out of them in private.

You forget Marvin Lewis. I'm not sure what he has on Mike Brown that has kept him employed for 15 years without a single playoff win, but it must be incredible.

Garrett is a fraud. This guy's schemes don't make any of the players better. His scheme is reliant on just having better/more talented players than the opposing team. The Cowboys win in spite of his ****** coaching, not because of it.
