I love Romo to death but it really is time to let that ship sail. So many people with the "if we had Romo, Denver would've paid!" comments. Well, thats opinion, not fact. Besides, he was a seasoned veteran and this is only the beginning of Dak's second season. Big difference in terms of shear experience.

And he took this team to
Lambeau was basically perfect in sub zero temperatures and was robbed on a catch by Dez and was arguably the MVP..

The comparison is stupid because Romo finally had the roster, we had multiple years to see his skills with a garbage roster and was arguably the best QB in the league with that new roster.. we destroyed Seattle, maybe the best defense in the league overcoming 5 INTs by Russell Wilson, the same team that ended up in the SB..

If Dak still shows he needs development, guess what he would still be here getting a chance to learn and develop behind Romo

It's not Dak's fault that Romo couldn't stay healthy or was one hit away from being hurt again though. I've often thought that Romo received too much bashing from the Media and other NFL fans for some of the teams big losses. I'm just not ready to give up on Dak and say that he is a bad QB yet.

Listen to yourself..

The excuse is 'potential' for injury, not whether or not Romo was injured, looked better in practice, threw the ball much better and farther downfield with a 'supposed bad back' in an actual game WITHOUT Zeke, while Dak was floating ducks and so on..

Now we are talking about in some threads whether or not Dak worked on his 'velocity' to help his downfield throws which may be one of the reasons why he is struggling and off..

If Dak still had to develop and as some people said, hits that sophomore slump, he could have done all that behind Romo and if Romo happened to get injured, then ko and behold, Dak starts again and we deal with it..

It's clear Romo didn't want to retire and wanted a chance to start and compete, thus his delays in retirement and 'testing the market'..

Phillip Rivers with a crappier supporting cast did better against this Broncos team than Dak if your looking at statistics. And they ran the ball better.

Please don't tell me that San Diego's RG is anywhere equivalent to Dallas.

Sam Diego emphasized stopping our run and Dak couldn't do anything. You think they do that with Brady or Rodgers?
Well, I'm fine with Dak...won't bash him here.

But at this stage of his career, Rivers is more capable of exploiting what Denver was doing. That's not dissing Dak, just speaking truth.
Give him a little longer and Dak will be there.

Do you think Romo can survive that tackle where Dak got backward- bended into a circle? Dak only hurt his ankle, but Romo'd be out of the season.

That Commanders' game in 14, they blitz-ed like crazy and Romo took some bad hits and we still lost the game.

I hear you, shabazz, but I wasn't referring to Romo. He's in the booth now.
Just acknowledging that Denver's D is a tough nut to crack, and especially in Denver.

They are for sure but it's time to take a realistic look at the most important position on this team. I had the wait and see attitude while many here started with the hero worship from early last season. He was selected to be a backup by greater minds than us and to me he has severe limitations.

Its sickening that most of this fanbase is trashing Dez when his QB has been awful this year. Its similar to trashing him when Weeden and Cassell were starting...

We really need to let Romo go at this point. It's over, he's gone. Posts like this are as lame as they come.
Not any lamer than this thread that is a rebrand of a thread from two days ago. Just because you're on the other side on this issue doesn't mean you can't call out the junk on both sides. You can do that or just let it be all around

The play that was entirely on Dak's lack of awareness and unwillingness to slide in the open field? He wouldn't have taken that hit.

Call out the junk all day every day, I take no issue with that. My point is, it's as lame as they come to claim Romo would have did this or Romo would have done that when we all know that Romo is gone and isn't coming back. It's 100% pointless.

I think my new favorite battle here is the Dez versus Dak camps.

Awesomeness.

The reality is both have kind of been "blah" these first two games.
I don't even think it's a battle because are there any threads about for all you Dez hater threads running rampant? Maybe they are but some acting like they on the Prescott payroll or something. He can be talked about just like anybody else esp when you're the qb. That comes with the territory because when he getting praised nobody is really saying let's give out the praise to everybody it's mainly him so he can get the negative the same way. Not like he reads this mb anyway so we are just arguing amongst ourselves

I hear you I'm just saying both are lame if we want to go that route and you didn't speak on one so you look fraudulent on this subject. This thread has been made a few times already and could've been put in one of those other threads that's all I'm saying.

I'm sitting here looking at the receiver route tree, and we are just old fashioned. We do NOTHING innovative. We need a young innovative offensive coordinator with emphasis on route combinations to put receivers in one on one. Dez is the worst route runner I've ever seen in Dallas, it's time to draft another #1 receiver. Also, Collins needs help.

This game, we should have featured the pass attack, and allowed that to set up the run. This Coaching staff is just stuck in the 90s. for real.

I'm not bothered about the loss but how we lost. Denver went all out to stop the run and Dak did not challenge them deep once. We can make the excuse of how awful the OL played and how formidable the Broncos defense was throughout the game. Regardless there were plays to be made through the air and our QB did not take advantage of it. Dak needs to understand that he can't spent 10 secs calling audibles and making adjustments at the line of scrimmage just to throw a 5 yard pass, normally you do that because you see weakness on the defense you can exploit.

The OC needs to be better as well, it is amazing every other team in the NFL can get their receivers opened but Dallas is always struggling. We have a #1 that can't get separation, mean while you have a 45 yr old Larry Fitz in Arizona running around like he's 20.
