Think any players kneel tomorrow night?

I hope not...i dont want to lpse a lot of respect for Cowboy players. Find a different way to protest than crapping all over your country and everyone who fought for or served for it.

Take your entitled butts to a protest and do it there.
Who cares about your respect though and if all it took was this you just looked at them like robots for your happiness anyway. People fought for freedom to kneel and your freedom to say what you say. Don't know why people like you get it confused.

Racism and Inequality for all are not "political agendas". They're not agenda's at all. It's the truth of how this country was built and this stain still here in 2017. I wish people cared more about the actual issues than how someone chooses to protest.

BTW, politics has always been a part of sports.
"Politics" is a buzz word nowadays for things people want to be pushed to the side no matter what it is. Folks will say playing monopoly is "politics" if they don't want to talk about it nowadays.

Oh really? Since when? Tell that to Pat Tillman's widow!

I actually looked up Tillman's widow to see what she said and the only thing I could find was her slamming Trump for his travel ban back in the Spring. Can we at least let her speak for herself?

Recently separated Navy vet here. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. In fact I'm happy this happened and gets people talking about racial injustice in this country. Although the people who don't feel comfortable with facing it, try to twist it into a military thing even tho it has been said 1000 times it has nothing to do with the military.

The only thing that irks me is when celebrities (in general, including pro athletes), try to use their platform to push whatever political agenda they may have.

I don't watch the NFL to hear the players' opinion of America, or anything non-football related for that matter. I watch because I like football.

Same applies to other sports or non-political events. I'm not tuning in to hear someone's agenda.

If a celebrity wants to go that route then they should use their resources to create some other avenue or forum for that.

I said this before but my post got deleted. I will post it again.

Politics in sports has been a reality since recorded history began. It was in the Greek Olympics. It was in the Roman Colosseum. It was in the Byzantine Hippodrome. It was on the medieval jousting lists of western europe. It was on the big city racetracks in the early industrial era. It was in Lambeau's formation of the Packers. It was all over sports as segregation ended. It was involved in the aftermaths of police brutality and riots over the past 150 years of US history. It was involved in the antitrust litigation of all sports leagues. It was involved in protests against the Vietnam War and the draft.

Every time that there has been social upheaval for millennia sports and athletes have been front and center. That has been true from the Roman policy of bread and circuses to Constantinople's chariot clubs leading the effort to rebuild Theodosia's Wall with Attila on the doorstep to big city political machines using the racetracks to finance and promote their campaigns to baseball clubs helping recruit and sell war bonds in WW2 to Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier to Ali being blackballed for his refusal to fight in a war he did not believe in.

What is dismaying to me is that these same camps were set up when Robinson broke through and when Ali fought Frazier. We tell ourselves we have come a long way but it is the same excuses to turn a blind eye being used as there were 50 years ago.

People don't even want to address what it is the players are protesting.

They can kneel all they want on their own time. Knock themselves out.

Don't do it wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform. Period. The Consititution doesn't give them the right to protest on the clock.

This simple fact seems to be lost on "people like you".

They get paid to play football, so unless the game is going they are not on the clock.

People in the military are literally telling you they don't feel disrespected and you still can't accept it.
A few people on this message board is not the consensous.

But if you think it does, then maybe that is why you don't see an issue with this behavior.

Hmmm....so they can just wear their work uniform and protest without any fear of repercussion?

Let a Dallas Cowboy try that...Jerry has already said he won't stand for it.

Except the fact that they say it every game to stand up and recognize the flag and the men and women who serve or have served....come on man.

Maybe some of it is fake but he did say tell the team he wouldn't stand for it last year whe Kap was doing it. Also, I just saw an interview where he said during the national anthem is not the time to protest...
