Jerry doesn't care about your refund or letter lol. You paid to watch guys play football....if players kneeling is bothering you that much then go and watch tennis or hockey. You will watch domestic abusers and murderers but not someone kneeling during the anthem...
Jerry loves my letter. My evidence is no Cowboys taking a knee. Take a minute to let that sink in.

Shouldn't police see people as the same? Someone just trying to get home to his or her family? You are asking the public to show compassion to police but that same isn't been done in return by some.

No. I'm asking Police make the logical move.

It's true you have to give respect to get respect.

The respectful thing to do would be to first at least acknowledge the issue.

Like "We hear you America. This is what we're doing to be better. And this is what we need from you to make our jobs easier and your lives smoother."

It's a two way street, but the authority figure needs to be the first to make a move. And we just haven't seen that in a concerted, national effort.

...yet.

These people already have come up with some slogans.
"What do we want? Dead cops!"
and
"Pigs in a Blanket, Fry 'Em Like Bacon"

It's a good thing those people don't speak for the majority of Americans.

Don't let any media outlet tell you otherwise.

What point does it make? Kapernicks jersey sales and merchandise have been the best in the league.
That the "racists" who want this to stop are not actually racists since he is hispanic.

And there is a HUGE difference between #39 and #1.

The reporter in the clip that was spouting off about the freedoms etc..
Ah, sorry for the assumption. I only posted the clip for Jerry's quote but didn't really listen past that part.

So, you don't believe that the hundreds of people being murdered in Chicago every year are 'oppressed'? Just the 5 or 6 killed by cops unjustly should be the ones that NFL anthem protesters should be concerned about, correct?

In general, I'm waiting for your definition of who the 'oppressed' validating the actions of NFL anthem protesters are since you brought that up in your original post.

This isn't about just police brutality. It's about those suffering in this country. The foundation of that suffering.

The oppressed in this country have no voice. And people like you think just because you aren't the oppressed you shouldn't speak for those that are. People are hurting in this country. Suffering through pain you can't even imagine. So who are we to tell someone don't speak up for those in pain? No, their suffering is self inflicted. They are killing each other so it is ok for police kill them as well. That's not how it should be......

Jerry loves my letter. My evidence is no Cowboys taking a knee. Take a minute to let that sink in.

That has nothing to do with your letter. It just means people are either too scared to stand for something or they simply don't care. As Dez said, he has to feed his kids.......

One person saying that in his eyes speaks for everyone.....
Which current player is a murderer?

Leonard Little, Ray Lewis, Josh Brent.....I don't know if any current players......

No. I'm asking Police make the logical move.

Oh I agree. There needs to be dialogue. But first we need to acknowledge there is a problem....and that's where the issue is.

Here is my solution. Stop playing the anthem at sporting events. Kick the ball and lets watch some football.

Its interesting how the anthem tradition began in US sports.

In most professional sport in most countries national anthems are not played for regular fixtures unless there is a rememberance anniversary or national day or other special occasion. In those countries playing it before a game would be akin to playing it before a theater play or movie or other form of entertainment.

Anthems are played at International fuxtures but thats because countries, not pro clubs/teams are playing. And anthems are generally respected, even those of opponents who's countries you may not like.

My letter will hopefully never be sent. Fear of Jerry will keep the sheep in line.

Per Fort Worth Star-Telegram this afternoon (1:30pm):

The Dallas Cowboys plan to protest during the national anthem before Monday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, per multiple sources.

Nothing has been firmed up and they will likely come to some decision in the locker room. It may not be a coordinated effort. It may just be a few individuals.

One player said, “We have to do something.”

Oh well...I guess I'll get back to playing golf on Sunday afternoons if Jerry lets that slide

It's a good thing that the few racist white people don't speak for the majority of white people.

Seeing how police officers aren't just made up of white dudes, not sure how much relevance this has for this discussion.

But since you bring it up, you're right; Overt racists don't speak for the majority of whites or any race for that matter.

Sir, I don't know where you grew up and nor do I care. I was told by my father to always remove my cap and cross my heart, and take a moment to thank our veterans for giving their lives so that my generation was protected. This was while listening to the National Anthem being played.

I don't care what "it's" about. I don't have to like "it". And others don't have to feel the way I do about not liking it. That's the beauty of this country. I believe the players should be grateful to play a children's game and make millions doing it. I believe that taking a knee does nothing to further the causes for which this action represents.

I believe that pro-sports should be a lifting experience to divert us from whatever our day to day live stressors might be. It should be a community building experience, and it should be fun.

As for the flag by laws. When I am appointed head-flag handler, I'll be sure to look those over.
I don't care what you're dad taught you anymore than you what mine taught me and nobody said you had to like it. Oh so the real problem is because you played a sport you think they should be grateful even though their millions help the owners get paid hundreds of millions and billions. I get you're another one of those people that know they won't be smart enough to make billions (which is also most of us too) so those doing something you think you can do should be thankful? Ok.

I can even agree that taking a knee doesn't do much but it is funny how people are sooo hype about something that most never paid attention to. When I'm at the stadium I'm buying food or something else during the anthem and nobody cares. Now we all do? I can't buy that maybe you can. If the anthem was really so important they'd play it at your jobs and everywhere else. We've been brainwashed because things that mean something aren't just mainly done by most only at a game. You might not be part of most but you know most are representing the flag like they claim all the time.

I thought you cared so much about the flag so you would know about things you claim you know about. Guess not.

I can handle the locking of arms, I actually think that's a powerful statement.

To me the locking of arms signifies unified support for freedom of expression. Which is the one thing I am on the side of.

I'm not upset by the initial protests, nor do I agree with them. Everyone lives in a different America.

But one thing that should be constant is that each side should have the ability freely express themselves without fear of losing their jobs.

The NFL is a brotherhood and standing up for one another is a great thing.

Do you have that right at your place of work? Maybe you are an employer, do you allow your employees to protest at your front door? Not questioning whether they have the right to protest, just do it n your own time.
The only thing that is the same is they're both jobs. Everything else is different. I don't even know why people use the at my job line. Just say you want them doing it on their own time so you don't have to think about it any less than you do now. It's not like people like you who disagree are going to get involved anyway if they did on their off time so why is this such a big deal? I mean we can turn the tv off during this part or not pay attention at the stadiums so why is really a big deal? People want to complain and on both sides want to strong arm their views on others. A big reason why this world will never be united ever. I don't it is meant to be anyway

You dont protest on your time. You protest on whoevers time is most effective for you to get your point across. There can be risks and potential sacrifices involved , including loss of employment, freedom and life .

Kaepernicks protest has been a success in that it has spread like wildfire and has kept the issue in American minds amd coming out of American mouths.
This is true and to get to where we are now people did "protests" on others time but people overlook things that don't benefit them most times. That last part is anybody not anyone side, person, race, gender, etc.

No kneeling. Maybe a fist in the air or all players locked arm in arm will be acceptable.
